    Other Teams Trades, FA's (official)

Someone in the hawks media unit put up a prerecorded interview with Frawluey in a Hawks polo this morning. Someone realised that they weren't meant to announce it until this week officially, so they took it down. So it's as good as official.

Never a doubt it would happen, pick three for Frawley is well over.

Nick Malcheski gone to GCS as a FA. Surely they don't have the cap to get Beams now.

Sydney receive a second round pick as compensation.

Taking into account his age 30, it must be a very lucrative contract.

Apparently he has signed a three year deal at $500 grand per year.

Is it just me, or this year is the compensation clubs receive a bit more generous than last year?

With the amount of contract speculation around anyway surely there is no reason the AFL simply can't release the criteria set for each band?

Last year Nick Dal Santo (at 29) got a 3 year deal for around $450k/yr to move to North. St Kilda received Band 3 compensation. (second round pick). Given that, Malceski at 30 getting a 3 year deal for around $500k/yr seems to justify the Band 3 compensation.

A pick #2 kid for pick 19. I hope when we are trying to stay at the top forever, we can get deals this done.

Interesting that Carlton are seemingly happy to part with pick 7 for Jaksch and pick 19. Some of the fire-sale discussions on Liam Jones, re: he's worth nothing more than a 3rd rounder are now put into perspective when a far less-credentialed young KPP is commanding a pick 7. I hope we convince Jones to stay with us rather than take a crap trade.

I agree sedat. Jones is not that far away from being a decent player. If he can become a consistent performer he is quite a handy player who has proven that he can compete at the top level. Jaksch on the other hand has proven that he needs to improve massively before he can make the grade.
