Guys here aren't any more or less guilty than the rest of the football world. MJP was 100% correct in highlighting Jong's deficiencies and others were 100% right in defending his youth and inexperience. It's just interesting at a larger level to see the level we can now scrutinise every play of every minute of every game. I logged into my AFL iPhone app and could see live heat maps of every player, listen to expert commentary dissecting every single on-field decision and it's just amazing, really. As fans we are far more informed and very lucky. As WOOFers we are incredibly fortunate to hear insights from posters of MJP's calibre and credentials. It just means we have to cut the players a little slack that's all.

We've all done it accidentally, no bad about it.

I thought this was a post and thread on Bontempelli, disappointed its turned into taking pot shots at another player.

Back to Bonti.....someone has put a video on youtube of everything he was involved in from Saturday night (ie. every stat or tackle). It goes for a little over 8 minutes.

I can't recall ever being more excited about a player. I recall when Judd first emerged - that 20 possessions from Judd would impact a game like 30 of any other player. Bonti certainly has that characteristic. In particular, how clean he is with his hands off the deck, evading players, and sensing the moment impact the game. Its so exciting to watch him play.

Commentators keep saying 'gee he's going to be good'.
              He already is.

                  I found the last quarter.

They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

Re: Bonti - The human highlight reel

It's interesting to see a video like this, I'm sure clubs make these for all players but outside of that we, the public, usually only get to see them for U-18 prospects.

Something that was noticeable in this video is probably the one area that I would like to see Bonts improve and that is that I think he kicks long slightly too often. It was evident last year as well and my worry would be that if he almost always kicks it long (esp I50), then defenders will know where the ball is coming and converge on that area. It might also discourage players from leading up to Bonts when he has the ball 40m away as they might be worried it goes over their head.

From what I've seen of Bonts play, he's certainly capable of delivering a weighted pass to a leading forward and his vision seems to be very good, it might just be that long is the first option looks at each time.

BONTI IS DOG, BONTI IS GOOD !! CAPITALS ARE OK TOO, ESPECIALLY IF YOU MISTAKENLY LEAVE CAPS LOCK ON. Apologies for any offence caused.

Seriously, he is so good to watch. I'll be fascinated to see Bont & Fyfe in same match as Fyfe is closest style of player I can think off in AFL at present to Bonti. Got a feeling Bonti will be very good this weekend, that's if he is not rested (I have inside knowledge however got a gut feeling a few of the boys may be rested).

Its good having some players with X factor that get the fans excited and the opposition fans nervous when they are in the vicinity of the ball - Dalhaus, Stringer and Bont.

Anyone know when Bonti is signed to? Just interested as we seem to have done a good job re signing or extending contracts lately.
