Buckenara, a great recruiter of talls, reckons he was a top 5 pick. Staggered he lasted to us. If we had 11, I reckon we would've taken him - makes Dunkley a free hit.

A good needs based selection here and we probably got him at a fair place in the draft, particularly as there were a lot of clubs who would've been keen to add him in that 20-30 range.

Hopefully he proves the answer to our need for a key defender who can lock down the big key forwards. Also has scope to continue to improve.

I liked the way he looks immediately for a good disposal target. Will fit in with our style of moving the ball well.

At 193 he is going to have to be a smart player against the monster forwards

He's pretty decent at intercept marking and he measured in at 193.8cm. At 17 he still might grow a bit.
He has the build to compete with the monsters, he just needs to get a bit better athletically.
