    Stone Cold Boners

    Hi Woofers,
I'm on here as Dancing' Douggy, and I was, for many years the lead singer of the Stone Cold Boners.

I was born and bred in St. Albans, went to school in Braybrook, was invited to train for the Bulldogs under 19's as a youngster, (didn't make the cut). And my side kick from the Boners days, Mister Barry, is a West Footscrayite.

We are both shameless and devoted Bulldogs fans and members, and over the years have played at Bulldogs best and fairest nights, Jumper presentation days, (often free of charge personally) and even at Scott West's 21st birthday party. (still got the signed footy) I used to change a lot of the song lyrics so they would become songs about the dogs.

LIDO (Boz Scaggs) Became LIBBA! I remember Libba's Mum coming up to me after one of these gigs, so grateful that we had sung a song about her son. My other favourite song twist was The Bee Gees 'More than a Woman' became 'More Than a Wingman' An Ode to Douggy, with the beautiful line........'Suddenly you're in defense....

Anyway, I've got a new band and a big night coming up at MEMO in Acland St. ST. Kilda on October 24, and I just wanted to do some shameless self promotion.

The band is Called Eugene Hamilton and the Money. And we're launching the single I'm on fire. Mister Barry will be special guest, along with Eliza Wolfgramm.

It's an 'Elvis live via satellite from Hawaii' inspired version of the Bruce Springsteen song. I've got Linda and Vika Bull on backing vocals. It's an example of what the band does which is flipping songs in to completely different genres. 'Genre Bending' I call it.
And we do all sorts of stuff from Bob Dylan to Sinatra to AC/DC to Beyonce etc etc.

Here's some links. (I hope they work)

Thanks for your time, and thanks SO much for WOOF itself.
    I love it

Hope some of you find this interesting!

Is the Nubiles name taken from the Stranglers song?
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

              Love the sound DD.

Any chance gigs will happen on West / North side of town?

I'm made a pact with myself not venture that side of town ever again.... Long story, but a story I am sticking to.

Saw Eugene Hamilton at the Copacobana in Collingwood on Sunday, singing with the B#Big Band - a fundraiser for the Footscray Refugees Asylum. Great performer and all involved, worked gratis! Great to know you are a bulldog man!
