Re: The Ride
As much as I loved this season (and I did), I just can't get too wrapped up in overly celebrating the achievement of 8th place and no finals wins. From where we came from, it was a significant step in the right direction, but I would like to think it but a mere stepping stone to something far more significant and long-lasting. It would be akin to Hawthorn celebrating their 2007 season (they actually won a final that year so did better than us).
I don't want to denigrate this release, but I'm already well and truly thinking about 2016 and beyond."Look at me mate. Look at me. I'm flyin'"Comment

Re: The Ride
Agree with what you're saying in part Sedat - no doubt the real hard work and major successes are still ahead of this group. I think, though, what made past year special (and worth documenting) wasn't finishing 8th, it was the way, largely through Bevo, PG and Murph's leadership, the club seemed to reconnect to it's soul.
Aside from the exciting young list and the possibility of a forthcoming golden era onfield, I reckon a lot of us are just as jubilant about last year because we just seemed to refind ourselves as a club, maybe to an extent unseen since the Terry Wheeler days. That's how it felt to me anyway and that I'm sure is a part of what the DVD will cover (like the Sons Of The West series).
Once again though, it's all only meaningful if it is built on and developed.Comment

Re: The Ride
I went today (you know, because the club said it would be available today), and they seemed to have no idea when it would be in. The best I got was "definitely by Friday".
The trip over was worth it to get a look at the saddest damn sales bin I've ever seen at the counter. Ayce Cordy/Jarrad Grant/Daniel Pearce merch going for literally $1.- I'm a visionary - Only here to confirm my biases -Comment
