It is. But he seems at ease with the whole situation and irony of it all.
More of an In Bruges guy?

Put a contract in front of Bob right this second!

If his heart isn't in it, there's no point twisting his arm. No one wins in that situation. We cannot put any pressure on him whatsoever - and we should respect his decision either way.

Not about twisting his arm, it's about all the excitement and prospect of this group to make the rehab worthwhile for one last year on the roller coaster. He seemed very happy in the rooms with his boys.

I have a gut feel he won't return.

                He's coming back next year.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

There already is one. Bob will play next year.

The fact that he'd hold out guys like JJ and Biggs makes it almost a certainty of not returning.

I heard his wife saying on television that she is not a footy nut, or words to that effect. Maybe it is happy wife happy life!

Really hope that he does come back. It might be the most important thing he ever does for the club. And might be 'the difference'.

Now it's starting to sound as if we want Bob to do it for us...

We sit near where coaches come down. Bob was very serious looking as he went past both pre, and more concerningly post match. Perhaps he was just somber about what he is missing out on right now, and maybe I'm riding too much into it. But I felt a whole lot less sure that he'd be returning after seeing his demeanour.

He's different. He thinks differently to most. He's not selfish in the strictest sense so winning a premiership is maybe not as important as him knowing that he has made a telling contribution to us achieving it. He won't want to be given games because of who he is or what he has done. It will be about what he is capable of doing next year.

I have no idea whether he will play next year or not...but I'm less confident by the day.
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.

Maybe he is thinking about the group and watching them Play and will decide whether the side is ready to move on without him if a player can play his role.
