Dangerfield. Honestly if I could see it why can't the coaches?

Well said, and Roughie banging it straight to their players plus us not having our mids play on their mids - should not have 2 or 3 of their mids standing on their own for throw ins or ball ups. Wish we could combo Roughie's marking ability around ground with Campbell's better ruck and low ball efforts.

I didn't see the game last night (also girlfriend related) and I never will, but getting bodied as badly at stoppages as we seem to have is pretty concerning. As fantastic as our backline's commitment to structure in overcoming personnel deficiency was, it's just not replicable in the midfield.

Our time is now just as Port's time was two years ago. We control our own effort and performance, nobody else does, we were pathetic and need to be accountable for it. When we bring the effort and team work we're really good, and if we don't take advantage of the competition being a little weak this year we may miss out on winning a flag.

Even if our time is now last night wasn't the GF.. Shit Haw got beat by 75 points earlier in the season, but that result wasn't the end of their season.. It was just a stumbling block... Like last nights game was.

We have almost half a season to go, we have 6 to 7 good to excellent players to get back into the team and at 9-4 we have the chance to push for an improved result from 2015.. I really look forward to our return games against Norf & Geel in 6 weeks time, will learn a bit about our coaches and players in those games before we get ready for a finals campaign.. And whilst we can feel sorry about ourselves and lament the fact we failed again on the big stage, it sure beats the shit out of turning up week in - week out and watch us play like that for 3 years straight.. At least now we only get a crap performance a couple of times a year.

No doubt expectations are rising, but they also have to be realistic... Whilst disappointed they we couldn't perform better, given where we are on the journey I'm happy to allow the odd stumble, but fully expect that when we meet challenges like this in the future and when we are better placed in terms of who is available, that they we give a much better account.. We let ourselves down last night, but I think it's an exception to a team that comes to play more often than not, which is a great sign for a young team.

Maybe it's a timely reminder not to get too far ahead of ourselves. If you don't bring it on the day a good side will make you pay.
We can look at it as a bit of a kick in the pants to knuckle down because to take the big prize you need to be switched on.
