Re: Game Day Round 18 2016 - Western Bulldogs V St. Kilda
Injuries (which have me completely gutted) aside that was a shameful performance. Absolutely shameful. Yes, the Saints were good and brought their best, but we were pathetic, undisciplined, in some instances just plainly soft, and wasteful with the football.
It's hard to tell from the living room though Richardson set his team up beautifully against us, and whilst I'm sure the coaching staff were trying to counter them we looked liked we didn't have a plan B.
We need to be desperately unhappy with our performance tonight. How we could have such a low level of respect for each other and how we use the football once we've worked so hard to get it is beyond me. How we could let our standards slip to be smashed in contested possession in the second quarter to the extent we did is concerning. This team needs to be consistent in effort because it isn't skillful enough to win games otherwise, and that showed tonight.

Agreed. We are too smart by half with our set up, so often we go forward with absolutely no options or no idea how to get it to the limited ones we might have.TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment

We looked hesitant and slow. When we should have move it quick we hung on to it. I think we may rush both Toby and Luke back next week. Hamling may get a go forward.Don't piss off old people

Saints always trouble us. Always.
We can't be 1% off or we are in trouble.
Worst night of footy in decades. I'm gutted. So gutted. Top 4 is shot. Mitch has the hardest 2 years any footballer will have, there in front of him.
I'm just so annoyed and frustrated.
I'm gonna get drunk. Old school drunk.Comment

Just gutted right now. Sick of being on the wrong end of injuries sure we get some back but lost 2 more vital players in the process. Just defeated as a supporter. I've got very little left in the tank.Comment

So did Jack Stevens get 40 in the end? Nice we put someone near Riewoldt in the second half though.Rocket Science: the epitaph for the Beveridge era - whenever it ends - reading 'Here lies a team that could beat anyone on its day, but seldom did when it mattered most'. 15/7/2023Comment
