Western Bulldogs: The Prime Time TV Juggernaut

Well if future sponsors of the Western Bulldogs and the AFEL fixturing boss needed any more proof about our credentials as THE Prime Time TV Juggernaut here's proof:

Finals Week One: Broke all sorts of TV viewership records with an average 1,984,000 viewers on 7 & Foxtel combined. (Full Stadium)
Finals Week Two: Smashed that record with 1,942,000 viewers on 7 & extra on Foxtel. (Nearly full MCG)
Finals Week Three: Smashed the smashed record with an average 2,387,000 viewers (peaking at 3,650,000). (Full Stadium)
Grand Final: Expected to be over 5,000,000 viewers (could well be more). (Full MCG)

That's a Western Bulldogs (only) finals TV average audience of around 11,500,000 TV viewers. Major Sponsors, new & old, may want to think about the sales off the back of this and the AFEL & Ch7 if they want to increase profits should be aiming for as many prime time TV slots that they can muster. We play exciting footy and people tune in especially just to watch us.

As far as I can research, this 2016 Western Bulldogs finals campaign is the biggest ever TV ratings result in the history of the VFL/AFL for any club, even the big shit ones. Ever. Ever.

We'll get a decent run at Friday night next year. Success breeds success. Sponsorship dollars will increase and players will want to come to the dogs.

Even more so when we win on Saturday.

Are finals week ratings figures week 1 and 2 the wrong way round? We appear to break the previous week's record with a lower number.

I think I see it now. Week two figure is just C7. Foxtel is extra.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
