How he wasn't given a holding the ball when Kennedy had it for about 5 seconds is staggering. But then Bonts when and created the stoppage with another tackle. And some media suggesting the umpiring was too one sided...

It was because of the raw count, had the frees been 20 - 20 there would not be any story. When you go back and watch it, yeah we got a couple of good ones but they also got away with quite a few as well. The overturned goal is forgotten about.

I thought Franklin was lucky not to get pinned a few times also.

PS - I tried to PM you, but you are full up!

I still get angry every time I rewatch the game. Such an outrageously bad decision and lucky it didn't steal the game from us.

It was a disgrace. Ruined one of the great moments of the game.

Replaced by Tom Boyd kicking a goal. From inside the square. F*CK!

Yeah, well if I had to choose I'm going with Tommy. Sorry JJ.

Young Tommy Libba was also prominent such a hard edge to this team I think they are all built for the biggest of games. leadership on every line a super group of coaches just an extodanary group really.

The umpire review said they were below par with 3-4 bad ones favouring us. Don't agree with it but helps feed that narrative

We can go to sleep safe in the knowledge that we have a yeam of absolute goers. These blokes will never let us down as a collective. Every player in the finals contributed something significant. There is no way this group is ever going to be over-awed by the occasion. My treasured memories: Shane Biggs in the lead up to Liam's second goal was like a man possessed. Tory Dickson corralled by two opponents in the square, manages to get to his feet and kick a goal. Then there was his one-handed mark under great pressure which also resulted in a goal. Stringer's unselfish hit ups in the final minutes against both GWS and the Swans. Dale Morris - a serial crowd pleaser with his acts of courage, his tenacity. His tackle on Franklin was THE moment ... come on down - Tom Boyd! Stepped up when Roughie was injured and played a major role in our win, and then in the GF stamped his authority on the game and sealed the win with an absolute ball-bursting roost from the square. Libba - if a pack formed he was in it. Got inside Heath Shaw's head something chronic. Poor old Heath. Ended up waving his arms around like a St Vitus Dance sufferer. Jack Macrae slotting that set shot against GWS. Clay's hip and shoulder on Griffen that cleared the path for Caleb to goal. We have some marvellous players. Bonti making Luke Hodge look pedestrian. Beautiful to see. I love yhis team. Go Dogs!

But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

It's worth mentioning that it isn't the first time Morris has taken fractures into a final - he had a fractured leg in one of the prelims (09?)
