We should have dropped Matty Boyd or Dale Morris and bought in the youngest guy on the list. That would have got us accross the line.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

List highlights how well Nathan Buckley has looked after the list he inherited.

This. Add in their trades and he'd have already been sacked at any other club. Now he's throwing big money at elderly free agents...

It does give us hope moving forward for sure.

Pies 2010 did stuff it up. But, they still made the GF in 2011 (in front at 3/4 time and only lost three games in 2011, all to Geelong) and made the Prelim in 2012.

Ess 1993 didn't capitalise immediately, but with a core group of '93 players were minor Premiers in '99, '00 and '01. '00 was the most dominant year I have ever seen in the AFL.

WC 1992 They won the flag in 1994 and then made the finals for seven more consecutive years.

Blues 1987 Were competitive moving forward. Played in the GF in 1993 and only lost two games in 1995 on the road to another Premiership.

Hawks 2008 We all know the story. Had a minor hiccup. But then with the same core group played in 4 GFs in a row for a threepeat.

The Malthouse v Buckley situation cost the pies a second .

Eddie presided over this debacle. All so he could continue to have his bromance with Nafan. Malthouse had them flying. Eddie should be held accountable. But then again they're Collingwood so who cares

It all became about Buckley this and Malthose that. I'm not the greatest Mick Malthouse fan but letting Bucks undermine him like that was a stupid thing to for Eddie to do. Malthouse had that team humming like a top and shafting him was the height of stupidity.

I'm sure Eddie already told his puppet board to review everything and clear him. So it's all clear.

That 1995 Carlton team was pretty good. I think it went 20 and 2.

We made the finals in 1995. Were they the one when Gary Lyon kicked 10 goals and David Schwartz 30 marks ar CHF?

Little known fact is that in 1995, the Carlton Football Club had 17 players play more than 17 games and used 32 in total.
In 2002, the Lions used 30 players.
                        In 2000, Essendon used 31.

I believe we used 39 this year and that's five more than any premiership team in history.

Imagine if we'd had virtually no injuries for the year! We'd have gone close to undefeated..
