Western Bulldogs road to Grand Final from 1954 to now

The Western Bulldogs have faced financial crises, potential mergers, rebranding, and more than their share of heartbreak since their lone premiership triumph in 1955. See how they battled through it all en route to the 2016 AFL grand final.

Geez there's some heartache in that timeline.

But the joy we experienced is just as intense as the heartache - if not more intense. That's what's great about barracking for the Dogs: you know your emotions are going to be worked over, put through the spin drier, strung out, wrung out, jangled and mangled. I've experienced more highs and lows barracking for the dogs than a century of weather reports ... and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I have always loved the Bulldogs and our supporters. We are staunch, in for the long haul, - PASSIONATE! And we are the 2016 PREMIERS after waging the finest finals campaign in the game's history. UP YOURS OAKLEY!

And who was the dickhead who labelled us irrelevant in 2014? Have another slice of humble pie and issue a piblic apology.

Many onlookers sensed grave problems for the Bulldogs as they parted ways with their coach Brendan McCarthy and captain Ryan Griffen in the space of just a few weeks.
They still can't get Bmac's name right. Lucky we recruited Jesse Stringer, Marcus Picken and both the Brad Boyds to make up for it though.
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.
