Thanks, that's a reasonable explanation and I didn't read his response that way.

Ruck and key position stocks to be accurate.
I'd rather hear Bevo say that he it was a work in progress rather than trot out something that most of us don't appear to understand.

It's just an anchor that I thought I'd mention but I could have easily called Stringer out for missing set shots but some don't like it when I do that as well

I'm wasn't challenging about the experiment or the approach just the explanation. Yours is a pretty good one.

I think you have preempted my reasons for mentioning it. It has nothing to do with my views on our ruck approach and I agree that the sample size is way too small.

I think the issue with Suckling is deciding when to go for broke and when not to. Thought he was excellent on Friday night but there were many occasions last year when his kicking was off yet he continued to be too adventurous. He needs to be more conservative when his kicking is off....when it's on then he should be given licence to go for it.
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.

            Bankers -

            - JJ - is there anything better in footy than watching JJ put on the after-burners?
            - Macrae - an MCG specialist, runs the width of the ground as well as anyone.
            - Hunter - how you were awarded the free kick for your 3rd goal I'll never know, but well done on that and also kicking a ball on your right foot.

            Anchors -

            - Stringer - it's ok to kick the freakish goals, but set shots need to be your bread & butter, and if you are going to spend to spend extended periods in the midfield try and impact the game rather than being a witches hat.
            - Biggs - poor defensively and with ball in hand, needs to be better.
            - Jong - I'm a fan, but you need to be better than that.

Crammers was spewing about that. Quite funny really, maybe worth a rascal nomination.

All players take risks but I question why a player with Sucklings skills by foot takes low % risks. He played well but needs to minimise a couple of errors for mine.

Poor you. My train was delayed and turned up just before 11:30. Got home at 1:20! I would love to be able to get home that early.

I already leave work early to get to Friday night games, starting much earlier would be an issue for many of us in the country. Of course the game time is all about TV anyway so there's no point in complaining about it, it's not going to change.

I only had to go one stop, I should have walked from Richmond to South Yarra.

But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

BAD and I were at a function when we played North last season in a Saturday night game for top of the table honors and one of the guys we met lived in Swan Hill. I think that is a 4.5 hour drive home. He didn't think he would get home until around 3.30am
