    Re: Stringer Trade Worth

Look, it's not a great deal and the committee that oversees the trades would not have been in unanimous support however, if this is what has happened we will be better for losing Stringer in the long run.

Hopefully we will roll up another deal.

Sometimes you just don't have the cards or the will to make the strong stand. It's hard to accept but lets get on with it now.

And a second round pick in a super draft?!?!?

Easy to blame JMAC here but he is far from the only one who influences such a decision.

If this was the first time in recent memory we got pantsed in a trade I'd be more forgiving.

                  Re: Stringer Trade Worth

So the deal of Stringer for 25 and 30 is clearly a win for the Bombers.

If we turn two of 25, 28 and 30 into 16.

Then 16 + the leftover second rounder turns into Schache and 20.

                    Re: Stringer Trade Worth

So pretty much 2 picks in an avge draft and 1 pick in a superdraft, for pick 16 in an avge draft?

There's no much between the ears.
I will never see #16 the same!!

If he was a cancer at the club it's a great deal.
What's to say he will improve at Essendon ?
And we have got rid of a huge problem for pretty good drafting manoeuvring.

                        Re: Stringer Trade Worth

Chris Grant and Dodoro now back in the signing room with Stringer's manager.

There's a smartphone that seems to be of a lot of interest to Ken Wood (Maybe it's Michael Talia's)

Signing about to happen right now.

Nup - there out of the room again.

                        This is getting weird.

That's just speculation that was on the Age's site Michael Gleeson who reported it.
Hopefully an ambit claim from Carlton

Clearly a win ? We just got rid of a cancer at the club and gave it to the bombers. How's that a win for them ? They now have a cancer

                                Good.

It's done. Let's parlay pick 16 into something good and move forward.

I thank Jake for his efforts in the RWB. He'll always be a premiership hero, but for now he's just an ex player.
