Re: Pre-season Training 2018
As someone who drives past the ground quite regularly I’ve never seen the surface in such condition at this time of the year.
It’s less than satisfactory that our players are training on this.Comment

Re: Pre-season Training 2018
With the rain we've had and a few hot and sunny days next week, we won't have to wait long for the couch grass to go completely nuts and generate cover.
A bit of loose top soil is OK providing the next layer is firm enough, a bit like a wet ground. It's when the first layer is loose supported by really soft ground that you need to worry.
If it wasn't safe players wouldn't be training on it.TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.Comment

I agree. It hasn't looked this bad since the cricket club moved. They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.Comment

The ground looks worse than it actually is . That grass is softand unlike Etihad which looks great, but is basically concreteComment

Re: Pre-season Training 2018
Yeah nah. We golfers at great golf courses do it seasonally. All good grounds have it done. It poses no injury concerns and is great to play footy on, even bounces, even surface. It is topdressed with sand which the grass loves to grow through and eliminates any thatch or dead grass that may inhibit grass growth.Footscray Football Republic.Comment
