    POLL: Breakout Season in 2025?

If you had to choose one player in this upcoming season who is going to go next level, who would you pick?

When I say "Breakout" I guess I'm referring to a player that has been around the team for a while without having had a massive impact on results, turning that around and becoming critical cog in the Bulldogs machine.

Cast your vote and maybe add a little reasoning too.

I've gone Rhylee West. I know I know surprising that it's not McNeil (because to me he already broke out 5 years ago) !

From everything I've seen this pre-season, from in person training to socials he just seems in a really good space. He looks super fit, he looks happy, and I really think he's going to have a break out year as that small forward we have been crying out for. I'm predicting he's going to go over the 30 goal mark including some pinch hitting in the guts. Looking forward to a big year from the son of a gun !

I'm chips all in on Sanders after the body transformation and the preseason form.

He does look insanely fit. I watched some highlights from the match sim and I think it was Bont to Sanders for a long goal. Hope to see more of that! I think that's something he has the ability to do from watching his champs games as well - that long outside goal.

I have gone the same. Lost 7kgs and trains hard, knows how to find the footy. This kid is going to be a star.

I could pick many players including Joel Frejiah.
I'll go with Sanders though because of his performances in the 2x 2k time trials and the beep test plus the form he has displayed.
Moving in with Treloar will also be a positive on his 2025 season

It's all lining up for Sanders to be huge this year. Possession, impact and excitement wise. Really looking forward to watching him

If I had to pick one it's Sanders. West I think we will be happy if he repeats his output from last year

Garcia would be my second pick as since we signed him on a 3 year contract, like with Buku after knocking back offers last year, there is likely an understanding that he will get opportunities this year.

Wowee - Seems like everyone is "feeling the bern" when it comes to Sanders. I'm surprised it's such a landslide as he is a brilliant trainer (which may not necessarily translate to games). Can't argue though of exposed information to this stage.

Yeah i had to go Sanders , his training form transferred to the match sim in QLD. In my view he lacked 2 things last year ,that Explosive speed from packs and his hurt factor with his disposal, from what has been said and from the limited vids we have had it looks like he has improved in both thoes facets of his game , and of course the changed body shape means to me Sanders will be our new pin up boy . I have to give Lachlan McNeil a shout out , his never looked better , fitter stronger , i really hope he turns it on this year , we need his pressure acts , all he needs to do is kick thoes goals we all know he should have kicked , that would make McNeil a really improtant member of our side .

Tempted to say McNell, but you have to go with the guy who was just best-on in the intraclub

Got to be sanders. I personally believe he was handled poorly last year by our coaches and never given the opportunities afforded to others. Dragged early in the third qtr of our first game against Melbourne .started on the bench numerous times and hardly got a run..not sure what his on ground time was but I think he was held back too much..I know he was a first year player and not sure if his body was sore on occasions but he showed enough early on that he will be a player.

Agree that Sanders is the obvious answer but my only reservation is we went through similar hype 12 months ago and it didn't quite translate to the real stuff. Didn't Bevo declare him the best draftee he had ever seen or something along those lines? I'm sure Sanders is better equipped now than he was last season however I will remain hopeful rather than counting on him as a sure thing to take the competition by storm.

Sanders work ethic and experience now go with the talent. Players picked inside the first 8 are way, way more likely to become a great player.

West, has already made a significant impact to winning games for me.
