I'm generally a half glass full type when it comes to Bevo teams so I'm not all doom and gloom at this point despite the general mood.
Not an ideal pre season to be fair, so I think thats left the fan base a little flat to this point.

So question ! How are we feeling in terms of where we will finish in 2025?

I think we will get it together enough to get to around the finals.

Not sure if we sneak into 8th or end up just out.

I think 5-8 just sneaking in to the 8

I went 8-12, probs closer to 12th than the finals with the injuries we've got atm.

Hopefully some kids step up and prove me wrong.

I'm the same. I initially thought 8-12 but now with the injuries I'm leaning 12-16.

A lot of our success or lack thereof will depend on the ability of our "next rung" stepping up or not. I'm sure a young guy or 2 will step up but we really need the Naughtons, Richards, Williams, English's and, well before, Weightmans to really step up. I don't mean some games here or there. I mean they need to start to become the driving force of our team. We can't rely on Bont, Treloar, Libba, Jones etc for much longer.

Generally we start slowly each year , but this year with all the injuries to key personal , i think we will be playing catch up for most of the season , hopefully having that notorious run of 4 or 5 wins in a row later in the year ,and fingers crossed we sneak into the 8 , so being very optimistic 5-8th .

It's early voting but my god the variance in where we think we'll finish is quite interesting. I think it all proves we dont have a clue which wouldn't be a first for a Bevo team.

Very good point. That's what made me ask I felt there was a lot of doom and gloom, but others would still be feeling ok re progress last season.

I don't see Treloar replicating last year, nor Libba. Jones started to decline in the back half and now needs to return from a lengthy soft tissue.

Our point of difference in the three KPFS, only one of them has had a preseason. If we had elite smalls we could rejig, but we don't, and our one medium livewire is now out for half a year.

Darcy and Freijah are two I'm very excited about but I'm not as bullish on a few others to catapult us up the ladder.

We needed a bit to go right and in such an even year we've had rotten preseason luck.

Internally I think we'd be concerned.

We've got to stay afloat while our players heal up unfortunately our depth is not there. We lost so much depth in the offseason and think we're in for a bad one, especially early on.

Three months ago I was feeling confident we'd improve on last year. One month ago, reading the training reports, I was still sure we'd be fine despite picking up a few injuries.
Now? Now I've got no idea.

Draw a normal distribution. Mean of 9, Standard deviation of 3. That's where I reckon we end up now.

Although, we did have a ton of injuries in 2016...
