Harsh, but neither player was worth the time and resources it takes to keep and develop a player, clubs dont have unlimited staff.
    I think that was projected anti-Englishisms !

His tap work was very good early v Dons but that's all he had. The one where he put it down Ed's throat was superb.

For me he had more AFL traits than Brew which considering his limitations was saying something.

However, when people comment that Crossley is a smoky for round 1, is a better option than Tim as the no1 ruck, or any version of that, you are saying he is better than the 2023 All Australian ruckman option. And despite that and the gaping hole in our list for a back-up, he doesn't even get the selection.

If scraping the bottom of the barrel turns to replace Tim Elglish as the no1 ruck, then...........

What I haven't seen is 1 post saying, I got that one wrong...........
      Good on ya champ

I’m also hopeful this means there is increased confidence in JUH getting back on the ground, as that frees up Darcy for some short stints on the ball.
There are still two days, so I guess a left field appointment is still possible, but I suspect it’s more likely we wait until the mid-season draft and see what our most pressing needs are.

You should be happy, every dollar saved is a dollar we can spend on getting Butters to the club. Which is a certainty.
          TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

            Genuinely surprised, but not upset.
What I was hearing right up until the last session was Crossley was in, most in footy thought the same thing. The bloke I heard it from would know.
We all saw what draper did in the last couple of quarters to him, maybe that scared them or maybe Marra return gave them confidence… Not sure or privy to that but would make sense.

Brew must be disappointed as he would have thought he had a chance. Good luck if WCoast picks him up.

Crossly is still only 25 and if he can get on to a fitness programme and work hard, you never know what can happen mid year or end of year - mature rucks are always in demand.

Apparently once the club heard big Crossley failed BAD's visual fat test they put a line through him.

Come for the chubby bald ruck with the handlebar mo. Stay for the ball drop.

In SSP terms, I'm a little disappointed we weren't also looking at a small forward.
He's not a classic crumber but Boyd Woodcock has been outstanding at VFL level for the last two years.

So deadline today for SSPs hey? Looks like we didn't have a surprise up our sleeve and just leaving the spot open. Was hoping maybe Lachlan McAndrew as a backup ruck, but I guess it's going to be Gardner

                          Let's pray Timmy stays healthy.

Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?
