Phillips was a weird selection, but by my count there's maybe 6-7 players in the entire draft after him that are probably in every best 22 which seems super low, especially when the best 3 in the remaining top ten are Perkins and Campbell.I should leave it alone but you're not rightComment

Margin: - Dogs by 2 points (I think this will be close. A lot closer than we think)
Our top goalscorer (the player and how many they will score): West 2 goals (one in the dying minutes to pinch it)
Our best on ground: Lobb
Crowd: 30000Comment

Predictions:
Margin: Dogs by 26 points
Our top goalscorer (the player and how many they will score): Naughton with 4
Our best on ground: Libba
Crowd: not enough.Footscray Football Republic.Comment

Margin: 2-38 Either really tight or a boilover.
Our top goalscorer: Shared bags of 3, Darcy, Davidson, Kennedy, Naughton
Our best on ground: Freijah and Ed
Crowd: Average numbers but vocal
I think the heat and humidity (please lid off) will be a significant challenge, especially in the second half.

Roos gun in doubt for season opener against Dogs
NORTH Melbourne star forward Nick Larkey could face a match-day fitness test to determine if he plays against the Western Bulldogs.
Larkey, a four-time leading goalkicker at the Kangaroos, missed Thursday training because of a corked thigh.
North coach Alastair Clarkson is "pretty confident" the 26-year-old will pass a fitness test, which could be delayed until Saturday morning ahead of that night's Marvel Stadium encounter against the Bulldogs.
"We didn't want to train him today, just to allow that (injury) to settle down a little bit," Clarkson told reporters.
"We're hoping he is going to be as good as gold by the weekend.
"Not ideal, but he has had a great summer and that is why I will give him every chance to be able to play.
"We just need to determine if it (the fitness test) is tomorrow or Saturday, but we're pretty confident, and so is he, that he's going to be able to play.
"We just want to see him at full stretch and see that he's okay to get through a game of footy."

I think the line-up is a tad vague. I reckon Arty will be the third winger and West due to being a test will be sub. But, who knows. McNeil is an unlikely sub atm which is something I feel weird saying but he starts the beginning of seasons well. West's confidence won't be effected by being the sub. I'd prefer Harmes wasn't wing.🥰 1
