I don't normally look at the odds how can we be $1.30 and Norrf $3.50? They should be favourites for this no excuses.

I don’t have the vaguest idea of what’s going to happen tomorrow night. I waver between feeling pretty good and feeling we’re hugely under strength.

Our best 7 (not in order):
            Libba
            Richards
            Dale
            English
            Naughton
            Lobb
            Darcy

            Their best 7
            Xerri
            Sheezel
            Ldu
            Larkey (maybe)
            Simpkin?
            Powell?
            Daniel?

A suggestion that we shouldn't be favourites is pretty laughable tbh. We're not full strength but we are still stronger than Norf. I'm not saying it's guaranteed we win, or that I'm not worried about the game...but we are still the better side on paper.

Our talls should, and really must, have a big impact on the game.

I loved our second half of the season last year bloody injuries! It's hard to be confident now thats for sure, I'm gonna try and stay as positive as I can.

Laughable? Um I think you need to take your bliinkers off. Our side on paper if played across the whole season would finish bottom 4-6 make no mistake. its no better time to get us. Norf have had excuses for a while now they have been given concessions its time they show something. I think we can win, there is something about Bevo atm that gives me confidence but I wouldn't put your money on us at $1.30 its a terrible bet.

My concern is that Larkey now has a foil in Darling. That on paper is a good forward structure and much better than they have had in prior years.

We need to win the midfield battle and our back's need to not get locked into a monster forward contest. Zone off and chop out by intercept.

Very winnable game, but because it is I am worried.

I don't really bet but agree 1.30 is very short. But to suggest we shouldn't be favourites? It's minimum 60-40 our way. If Larkey is out, even more our way.

Maybe it's a bottom 4-6 squad (I don't agree), but the north squad is still worse on paper.

The current bench: Luke Cleary, Harvey Gallagher, Arthur Jones, Lachlan McNeil, Rhylee West

I would have thought maybe Garcia and Baker are unlucky to miss out. I would have had them both in before Cleary and Gallagher.

before you all have a crack about Cleary. The only reason is I would have taken in Bakers experience over Cleary. Yes it was a flip of the coin.

This will definitely come back to haunt me but Darling on paper is a solid foil, Darling in real
life should have probably retired at the end of last year. He was absolutely awful, at least whenever I watched him.
Larkey however scares the shit out of me.

                            FIRE UP

                            its Game Day.

One of the best days of the year, round one. May our excitement and happiness last more than half a game of footy and our decision to let the Club dictate our emotional stability for the next few months prove to be a wise one.

I don't think North will be easy beats by any stretch, in fact i think it'll be a really tight contest with us perhaps getting over the line by 2 or 3 points, remember with both teams running out tonight, North have more experience than us with games played overall between the teams.
