The next four games - Rounds 5,6,7,8

    image.png

Bont back for Saints game should boost the team. Will still be missing Treloar, Weightman and Marra. Desperatelty need them back in.

Brisbane - Norwood Oval - Loss
    Saints - win
    GWS in Canberra - 50/50
Port Adelaide - Ballarat - win

    Another four tough games.

I’ll take a 50/50 win loss ledger with out outs. We just need some luck with guys coming back.

I would play Bont FF on one leg instead of Naughton right now
    BB.

Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.

I'd take 2 wins but it could be 1 or 3

I think we can only win if the opposition have a bad day. If they play their best footy we dont have the ability to beat them.

Not sure why Brisbane is pencilled in as a definite loss. They have been just going all season and haven't yet strung 4 quarters together. We should approach this week as winnable, albeit a very difficult assignment.

The much narrower confines of Norwood Oval should help us compress the ground and restrict their ability to move the ball from D50 to F50, which is the greatest strength of theirs. Haven't watched the Freo game yet but we've been quite difficult to move the ball against all season (obviously this fell over pretty badly yesterday).

Loathe to even look forward more than this week - there are not many gimme games in the AFEL this season.

Not suggesting that we beat Brisbane this week but we are playing them at a smaller, neutral ground and the fact that they coughed up 90 points to a pretty ordinary Richmond side gives hope.

If I had to pick a certain loss out of all of these, it would be St Kilda.

Yeah, not sure Bont will be back for Saints game. More likely Gws or Port.

Bevo said 1 or 2 weeks away which is exactly in line with the initial reports, nothing has changed.

I wish still I believed Bevo when he speaks about injury timelines.
Bont has not even increased his training intensity. I’d be pleasantly surprised if he played against St.Kilda.
More of an In Bruges guy?

                      Agree with this take, unfortunately.

Can you remind me when he's lied about injuries before?

Lions are the best team in it, and it isn't even close, but......
This might be the most gettable they are all year.
Undefeated, off the flag, played the tigers and on the road again to Norwood.
Stop buthcering the footy forward of center, and just maybe.

If GWS is looking the likely one, would you even take him to Canberra? I just can't see us beating them on their home deck and that feels like it'll be a fast game of footy - not ideal coming off a calf and the chance of reoccurrence . I'd rather just hold him back for Port in Ballarat.
