I don't believe I actually like Lobb. Apparently a nice bloke too, as my butcher was telling me as he is a customer.FFC: Established 1883

FG Naughton
BOG McNeil
Tough one to call. The Lions are just doing what they have to do at the moment, however they did beat a pretty good Cats side in the wet at the Gabba in rd 3 so not exactly bad form.
To win we will need a few things to go our way. Obviously contested ball and clearance are critical as always, also limiting the Lions playing the way they want.
If we allow too many uncontested marks especially on their slow plays from defence then they are dictating terms. I really would like to see us go man on man to stop this, but we do love our zones. F50 entries we have to be smarter than we were last week. I get the Darcy at all costs meme, however Andrews is brilliant at intercepting and it's what the Lions prefer. We need to be clever here and change the angles/look for others.
Our small forwards are really important today also, repeat entries, stopping Zorko and WIlmot and hitting the scoreboard is essential. Big games from West and McNeil in LVDMs absence super important.
Their forwards, Hipwood is hot and cold, Day is cold, so i'm mostly worried about their mid sized or smalls. Cameron, Rayner, Bailey.
Negating Neale also critical. We don't do hard tags, so the defensive work of our mids is going to have to be the strategy. This is probably my biggest concern as we don't do this well at times.
We are a big chance in this one, but it's going to be tight.
Go Dogs!
P.S. Dunks....

What expectations should we, realistically, have for Cooper?
He'll likely play as a half forward, spending most time inside 50 as a target or to crumb the loose ball but will occasionally roll up to stoppage.
10+ touches, a handful of score involvements and a few tackles would be a solid debut, I reckon. Add a goal or two and I think he'd far exceed my expectations for a first gamer.👍 2Comment

I wouldn't mind playing him deep. He has some natural forward instincts and can fend off too. He gets to use his skills in traffic at F50 stoppages.Western Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment

C'mon Dogs, bring the fire and finesse here and now.
Use Dunkley's betrayal or anything that works.
Lions have had the better of us for too long and if we win, we'll have every reason to believe in a top four position and only have ourselves to worry about.
Relax and focus, like Libba.Footscray Football Republic.Comment

Good feeling about this to be honest, nothing to really lose and gonna be obviously tough but just want to see us up for the fight and our system hold up. Contest around the ball going to be absolutely crucial.
quietly confident but we’ll seeComment

We need to find a way to scrap this somehow, Bont back next week off a win and we could really get kickingComment
