    I'd drop Busslinger.

Don't need three tall backs, Williams and Khamis are able to swing there if its going to shit. Would much prefer more run in the lineup than cram Jed in.

Baker is a really good sub, adds something different, is versatile and pacy. I'd bring him in. Would be OK with Jones instead but I have no faith in him to actually do anything.
I should leave it alone but you're not right

Davidson's execution was a bit off for him on the day, perhaps the wind or just had a bad day. 8 games in to an impressive career, no biggie. McNeill and VDM would've been dropped every second week for years if the same standards were applied. Davidson is a level above both of them already.
Buss in, McNeil or VDM to sub.

Tend to agree with this, especially when you’d think the ball is going to spend lots of time on the ground due to the slippery conditions.

If Read or Walter kick 3+ goals due to a favourable match up we’re just going to have to cop it on the chin.

I'm staying out of the Davidson talk - he's only just starting out and is going to need a breather at some point - but I don't think playing LESS small forwards in conditions that are likely to be wet and slippery is smart in any way.

          To win in Darwin:
          - Stoppage and clearances in your favour - surge exits are fine...don't need to be amazing with shape.
          - Strong aerial presence in F50 - you can't let the oppo take uncontested marks.
          - Strong ground ball presence in F50 - MUST keep the footy in there.
          - Positive set up of the ground behind the ball - either taking intercepts or getting the ball to the FRONT of the contest or oob.

          Dangers:
          - Ball over the back on oppo exit. It will skid on/run on and they will kick over the back goals.
          - Any run + carry through the corridor by oppo half backs. If they can drive with their legs/bounce the footy and drive it over the defensive zone, well...the ball's gonna skid on and they will kick over the back goals.

We NEED the likes of VDM and LM to provide ground ball support/exit control...I'm not sure either can be sub this week...it's just not gonna be that sort of game.
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Based on training I'm tipping no changes but there could be one.
It seems like Pouter and maybe Gallagher might make the trip as travelling emergencies.
Williams trained with the defenders today so I wonder if that makes it less likely that Davidson is the sub?

But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

Hopefully only minor and more precautionary.

Small ball in again I like, just wish Adz was still in you feel a lot more confident when Bont is forward with the extra depth in the mids.

Listening to Adz on his podcast today, he said he was incredibly sore after last weeks game.
Good to see Gags and Poults get another go. We're certainly getting games into players while maintaining a high standard.
I wonder if Libba will be rested soon. A while back Bevo stated that he would be rested at some stage and with a 5 day break between the bombers and cats games, could he have next week off?

I only see Gags as making it as a small defender at the top level, just don’t see it as a mid but we are pretty much covered for smalls down back. Could be a sub option.

Re: Davidson, I think everyone is on the same page that he is one of our best wingers and therefore is locked in to best 22. He's not going to get omitted any time soon.

But he is a genuine chance to be rested because he is a young guy doing big km's each week, and his injury risk would be rising after each game. We will probably try to hold him until the bye, but if the numbers say he needs it then let him rest.

Seems like either Gallagher swaps for Treloar and Poulter is sub or Freijah plays on ball, Poulter plays wing/fwd and Gallgher is sub. Reckon option one is the way to go.
