1 - We've hit that precipice where too many developing kids are in the side, and it will hurt us late in games.
2 - Halfway through the pre-season I thought Cleary was damn lucky to have a contract. At this stage is he our best small defender who can actually stop an opponent?
3 - Bontempelli can't come back soon enough

1. Today showed the value of patience when it comes to judging players prematurely (Naughton, English, Sanders etc.)
2. These kinds of games are great for the development of the kids even if it hurts in the moment
3. By the end of the year, we might have the best Bulldogs team since 2021

1. The score review system is rubbish. You need bullet proof evidence to turn over decisions. It has already cost Sam Darcy two goals this year.

2. Libba is a beast, but it’s hard for him to sustain it for four quarters without his mates. He faded in the second half and it hurt us badly.

3. Brisbane are a very good football team and Neale is a jet.

1. Do not debut a player against the lions. It did not work yesterday and it did not work when Bendedo played his first game.

2. If Dale does not fire we struggle to pick up his slack.

3. Matt Kennedy does not give in and a reliable kick for goal. Definitely better than advertised and an upgrade for our team balance on both Macrae and Daniel. Smokey for a top 5 B&F finish.

1. Two speedy halfbacks are greater than one. Seemed to enable more overlap run for all the backs in the first half.

2. Footy is way better to watch when it's best v best, 1 on 1 rather than zone defence.

3. Bevo is a classy communicator. In his post match presser I liked how he made a point that he didn't want to disrespect the team that just played by talking about who might come in next week....even if it is the bont.

1. Set shot misses early in a game can just kill you
2. So far the season feels like every other year with the win/loss ratio, however, I also feel we are not far from a long winning streak. The boys are playing well but just can't finish it off.
3. I hate the way the AFL run the game. The so called touched ball evidence, the HTB rule (no idea), the insufficient intent rule - the umpires have taken over.
