The Moment: Gather Round, 2025 vs Brisbane

The moment; the best, most courageous moment that caught your eye in today's game against Fremantle.
Was it the moment that told you 'we've got this' or 'we lost this one right here'? Or was it the moment that you went 'wow....that is crazy courage'

Was it a collection of moments or perhaps one you felt had greater significance outside of the actual game's result?.. Or maybe it was a downright gobshite game, with little to crow about...but you know, you're still down to get your post count up

    I'll give you plenty.
The fact we lost a soldier in the first 3 minutes again meant we were hindered with our rotation of players in the fifth consecutive game under extremely hot conditions. I'm sure the plan was to drag either Hynes or JJ late and give Dolan limited game time.
The reversal of the Darcy goal is a complete farce, where was the inconclusive evidence that it was touched, would have put us 39 up and heading into half time and with all momentum.
Not sure about the players but from where I was sitting I was pretty confident the maggots were not going to pay any short kicks in defensive fifty as being long enough so stop trying it after they set the precendent early.

And another one, Bailey Dale's rubbish kick in that led to a turnover goal 20 metres out during their run on in the third. It wouldn't have been paid anyway so why risk it.

Yep that was a moment for me.

I came to nominate this and the Bramble goal from kick in during the final quarter. Inexcusable mistakes.

The run of misses from Cleary, Darcy and Freijah at the end of the third was also vital.

          Some good moments?
Kennedy's goal from 55 and Williams snap from the pocket in the final quarter were clutch.
The second quarter was fantastic from beginning to end.
My two year old standing up and shouting "Sammy Darcy" when he outmarked Harris Andrews again.

The Freijah miss in the last quarter really hurt us.

That would have been three goals in a row and we would have retaken the lead with all the momentum.

That was a pivotal what if moment.

Two involving Darcy, the overturned goal and his miss in the third........

Gotta go with Dale's short kick in the third, however. Just too much risk to bite off (English going inboard prior to that was also hurtful......).
              TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

I actually thought we were in it right up until the Bramble’s kick in turn over in the last.

We had wrestled back the momentum and that took the air right out of the tyres.

                  Agree.

For all of Brambles strengths these skill errors really test your confidence in him. That was an easy target to hit and he made a meal of it.

When first looking at it, on a wider ground the kick usually tracks closer to the boundary and into a bit more lateral space. Feel he's just gone with the same amount of effort as he usually might, but not considered or was confused by the dimensions.

It was so clearly over-kicked. Maybe a rush of blood?

We got caught on the short a few times today. Dale not judging on a kick out how close the widest of the first line was in the third was a good example. That wouldn't have happened on the G, let alone docklands (which isn't exactly huge).

Agree and it’s a shame that we look to the kids less than 50 games to keep moment balance by hurts
                      BB.

Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.

We had done a decent job at keeping Hipwood under control and that lit a fire under him. Significant error at the time.

The loss of Harmes so early was significant because it meant we couldn't sub Hynes or JJ out of the game and clearly they weren't ready.

I doubted WOOFERs who were doubting JJs selection as too early.
What is going on if he was assessed as ready when he clearly was not?
