Looking forward to catching up with fellow Dogs fans around me again on Saturday as our last home game at Marvel was now almost 1 month ago.

I hate Essendon. Yep, strong word—but I’m doubling down. I really hate Essendon. Let’s just find a way to get the W. Any way we can. Claw. Scratch. Scramble. I don’t care how, it just has to happen. Not just for our season, but for my soul.

Not many things brings me more satisfaction than beating the Bombers. Growing up in the era where they ruled the competition, won flags, and treated us like a joke, every win against them feels like a little slice of justice.

And here's the stat that never fails to warm my heart:

The Western Bulldogs have won 11 finals since Essendon last won a single one.

Say it again. Louder. With feeling.

        ELEVEN. TO. ZIP.

If you’d told me that at the end of 2001, when Essendon were strutting around like they owned the league, I’d have asked what you were smoking. They were the powerhouse. And now? A whole generation of footy flushed away in a puff of smugness and bad decisions. And yes, I know it’s not classy to enjoy someone else’s downfall, but in this case? I’m making an exception.

Please. Never, ever feel sorry for them. Ever.

Have you seen a replay of our 2000 game where broke their 20 game win streak? Probably my favourite dogs home and away game

A.Jones and Duryea are in and Poulter and Gallagher are out.

Not bad. Thought Busslinger might get in so Lobb could play forward but I'm glad Poulter is out. If we play small ball we need to fully commit to it. Bramble sub?

I'm just a bit surprised by Arty's inclusion but he is coming off some good form and we have tended to reward that.
Based on Wednesdays training drill's I think Coffield was close to be considered but he finished the session running laps so it probably ruled him out.

We do seem to pick Coffield when he’s fit. Whilst that’s usually only a couple of games a year, I guess Coffield coming in would free up Williams back to the wing.

Hmm with the aftermath of the Darwin game and only a 5 day turnaround to the Scats match, i was wondering if they would rest Libba.
Arty's really got to take his opportunity.

Going to be interesting to see how an in form Timmy E goes against the old stager who usually dominates Tim, but he's aging, and Timmy is on fire, i expect us to win but Goldy could make things tough for us.
