What a great Saturday night out at Marvel that was.

I was nervous pre-match with how we would go off the Darwin match.

From early on in the match we set the tone and kept at it right to the end.

Our fitness team should be commended we are doing very well in this area running out games.

Bailey Dale a freakish game 49 disposals. The most ever from any player at Marvel and the most in the clubs history.

The Cats now down at the ground of theirs off a 5 day break. I give us every chance considering some injuries the Cats have.

    Go Dogs!!

Yes, this is a swipe at both of them.

      Anyway, over to you Herbatron.
And he said Bontempelli , Also said he put in plans to stop Dale .
I’m not sure Naughton having 11 possessions and 11 scoring involvements is beating him .

          That was very satisfying.
Gutted for Arty but he showed he gave us a glimpse of his future at this level.

Ok who enjoys going on bomber pages and reading the meltdown ?
It’s quite an experience . Telling each other how all the players are going to be champions in the next year, then after the game wanting them traded .
one fan has no idea claiming we had Brownlow medalists and a lot of premiership players is why we beat them . I couldn’t find one brownlow medallist let alone two . I also think we are down to just three premiership players now . Bont , Jj and Liberatore .
it’s Comedy Central in the most hysterical way .

Geez, immense win that. One of the most dominant I’ve seen and we have obliterated some teams over the past few years but that was something else. Dale 46 uncontested possies says it all really, we did what we wanted across the board. Fantastic.

I missed a beauty being Overseas but listened to the game as I walked around another Church.

We now have the best percentage and head the table for the best score.

Will miss Thursday as well as I am not back till Saturday - Go Dogs!!

There was so much to like about the way we played, especially considering the Gough gig up in Darwin.

It was a fast paced game, particularly in the first half. We had lots of players at every contest and the handball game was as good as I've seen it.

Our positioning down back was very good as when they had the ball they were often forced to go sideways.

Our run out of defence was a sight to behold with Dale and JJ in the vanguard. There were multiple handball chains and we made good decisions when kicking out and switching play.

I thought Lobb and JOD were terrific interceptors. Both were good in the air and on the ground. And Bramble came on and played his role.

English played another great game. I haven't seen him play with such freedom since Noah built his animal transporter. I really liked the way he'd give off a handball and immediately shepard for the receiver.

Libba is playing as well as I've ever seen him play - he is an irresistible force in the trenches.

Richards covered more ground than Ludwig Leichhardt, but unlike him he always knew where he was going - tremendous game.

Buku has really developed as a marking target and second ruck - it's such an important role.

Davidson, Harmes and Kennedy all had good games and West was a four quarter threat. His attack on the ball is inspiring.

Vandermeer had his best ever game, IMO. I really hope he goes on with it as genuine pace is the number asset both offensively and defencesively.

Naughton is not far away. He really put in and fought hard from the ball: when it turns around for him - watch out!

It was a very fine team performance. Brad Scott at times looked lost, shocked, bemused, indifferent, despairing. For a fleeting moment, I felt sorry for Essendon. They looked leaderless and rudderless. Their players look like the wisps of hair on their President's head - you see them but you don't take them seriously.

In what Universe does Brad Scott have a contract for next year and Bevo doesn't?

The danger signs were there early, unusually it was their Captain setting a bad example sitting out of the contest, looking for cheap kicks without contact on the wing. Im amazed at the positive press they have been getting, they still cant defend and we all know they will fall off a cliff in the second half of the year. Constantly rebuilding, rinse and repeat. Scott was equally as meek in the presser post game.

Bevo has the joint humming, when role players are playing their roles to a high level it just makes the collective so much more powerful. We have so many players that have improved/ having their best years combined with a system particularly behind the ball that seems to be working, the players are cutting off the angles well and covering the switch, we also seem to be running on top of the ground. We look fit.

When you look at our forward line on paper, it doesn't look much without Darcy and Cody but I've been surprised at the scoring since Sam went down, small ball seems to be working and obviously midfield and field dominance help It will just be interested to see how it holds up against the Cats next week. I just wish we had another win on the board, we have been consistent enough but If we are going to be a serious team we have to start winning the close ones.

Thursday night is massive, I hate the cats more than anyone its the one I really want.

                              Isn't a beautiful day?
Beating the Bombers so convincingly is a great thing.

A lot of players might not have filled up their stats like Dale did but they were equally important with the win
I'm really please that JOD fights it out even though his team mates didn't always kick the ball too him perfectly.
Lobb is sensational. Sanders is getting better and its great to see West performing like that. Even Harmes had some good moments last night.

                                This.

I haven’t watched all of the presser yet, but apparently Bevo said Darcy will be back just after the bye.

Hopefully we are able to keep the more unpredictable spread happening- it would be hard not to get massively Darcy conscious.
