Geelong V Western Bulldogs R11, Thursday 22/5/25 at GMHBA Stadium at 7:30pm
I really don't like how the media is framing the game.. the rounds of 'aaah it's good for the game, we love the niggle'... ...no. Nope I don't.
Let's not forget here. We've done nothing wrong to incur any needling. If anything, the narrative should be how horrible a system is that a marquee player like Smith was able to effectively be nursed to an out of contract state to effectively hold us over a barrel negotiation wise to ensure he gets to a particular club.
No it's not good for the game.
Wwhen queried by Gerard with an almost with a 'what great theatre it is with Bailey Smith' I would've loved Bevo say 'Look he's an A grade player.. and the fact is we provided Baily with nothing but love and all the support we could, and our fans adored him too as one our ours. The situation is, he's not one of ours. He chose to leave that, and that's how the system is set up right now, to facilitate that, that's all fine. We've got a very strong and close group here. So from our perspective, he is simply just another player from another club, now and we just simply have zero time to buy into any of the noise or hype. All we're invested in about Bailey is the extent we recognise he's a a key opposition players and how can we manage his output as part of a strategy to beat Geelong? That's it. The rest is just for the fans and maybe Bailey's social media likes?'
Margin: Dogs by 5 points
First goal: Rhylee West
Top goal scorer: Aaron Naughton, 3 Goals (The redemption begins, I have faith)
Best on ground: Tom Liberatore

It would be the most unlikely round to redeem himself (against a historically strong Geelong defence who will be playing a full strength collection of key defenders) but sometimes these things happen when you least expect.

It's all just Geelong media wank. Where are all the Tanner Bruhn articles? He's flying with all the #CuLtUrE and #CoAsTaLLiFeSTyLE
On a side note, now that Corangamite is no longer a marginal seat, maybe the state and feds can finally switch the farken taxpayer tap off.

Do people not know that Tanner Bruhn is involved in a current court case and therefore the media have restrictions on what they are allowed to report? This isn't like Jamarra where it's just personal issues, there is an ongoing legal case that likely has suppression orders in place.
Bailey Smith was absent from main training today, just two days out from his much hyped reunion with the Western Bulldogs. The club says he was on a managed program indoors.

I thought that but it is time for him to put up a strong performance and there is no better way to show he is back then against some of the strongest talls in the comp. Whilst it probably won't happen I love to keep some hope for him, he still is a great footballer, just out of form.

First goal: Harmes
Most goals: Kennedy
BOG: Libba
Despite having some different personal since we last played them I think we are humming and in better form since then. I suspect (and hope) our midfield will destroy them
