1. It's time to move on from Duryea, tried hard in the second half but he's constantly going to ground and disposal is poor
2. Freijah needs a reset. It's probably time he moves to half-back flank with our full midfield and stagnant rebound
3. McNeil is costing us games of footy. If we're only getting 10 touches of the footy and a couple of tackles, we might as well invest in Dolan.
1. You can’t win games when you concede 127 points. Minimise turnovers and you limit scoring. Not something I have learnt but geez we need to execute better. hard to defend when there are so many turnovers. Cameron 6 and Neale 5 goals makes out they had a field day against our Key Defenders.
2. we were able to run out the game better than the Cats but again our execution in the last 10 mins was poor. Poor game management. The Cats slowed the game right down playing to their strengths. We will learn from this.
3. we are definitely right in this with a huge chance. Get Darcy and Treloar back and we will take this comp by storm.
1. Frustrating that we lost but 33 shots to 27 and 26 frees to 12 were killers.
2. Clear selection error - Duryea before Busslinger, O' Donnell didn't have enough tall support in the last line.
3. We should not persist with McNeil.
1. When Treloar returns, Freijah to play down back a little more with stints in the mid. Our HBs are a bit fickle and vulnerable against better teams.
2. We have fight. I expected to fold after the second quarter but we responded and should have won. Good in that sense.
3. Big questions on our ability to win close games and perform when the stakes are high. We just seem to find ways to lose when it matters most, and it's generally down to poor execution and composure. I'm pretty livid about this loss. We needed this. It would have proven a lot. We're not good enough just yet and that is bloody annoying because we should be.
1. This season had been bliss with no expectation, but expectation crept up on me like a thief in the night. This one hurt.
2. Not sure I've ever detested a player as much as I did Bailey Smith in that last quarter. Flat track bully.
3. We genuinely have some great weapons, but the inconsistency of youth combined with the lack of quality in our bottom handful might continue to decide these big games.
1 - We are around the mark of being a very strong side especially being competitive in 4 or the 5 losses.
2 - Our injury list really stands out when we play the stronger sides.
3 - We need to go into games with a slightly taller side.
