Jason Dunstall' s a piece of shit when he wants to be. Having a crack at JOD for milking attention after the Zac Tough-guy Jones hit and doubling down on it was pretty pathetic.
    TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

I loved when Darcy hit up Naughty In the last on his left thats how you kick it to him! That kid…..

Agree we didn’t learn alot but we are back on the horse and it’s time to bank some wins.
I love players that look to move quickly, back their skills and put the other side under pressure going forward. Darcy very rarely stops, which is unusual for a guy his size. He always looks to wheel and go. Players like Cleary, Sanders etc their first instinct is to stop and wait.

          Just over 20k there tonight.
Thursday night football doesn't work that well unless one of the sides has a big supporter base.

I thought Sanders was a bit better at keeping it going this week.

We got 35K there last week and Hawks fans don't love Marvel. 20K is inexcusable. Wonder who the Saints will lash out at over it............

Same here. He has to learn to be a bit more ruthless and maybe even a touch more selfish.

Ross Lyon had a crack at a journo who asked about it in the presser. "20k is pretty good for a Thursday night isn't it? Nobody wants to go the footy on Thursday nights" and kept targeting the journo who asked the question.

Yeah I thought last week we had the more numbers at the game. We had a pretty good crowd ourselves compared to Saints tonight

Saints just don’t pull a crowd when they are down , let’s face it if I was a saints supporter and playing us I’m not sure I would want to go.

Happy to get the win tonight.

I'll be honest I was nervous pre-match going into this game after what we dished up last week against the Hawks.

The Saints are ordinary. Bottom 4 side the way they played tonight. I don't think we will learn too much over the next few weeks with the sides we are playing but it is vital though if we are to feature in September that we get these wins before we play the Crows in a few weeks and Lions to try and get a scalp.

Enjoyed the return of Darcy. What a player he is going to be. JOD and Lobb were excellent out the back. Kennedy has been a great pick up loving how he is going about. Freijah got some form back tonight as he was a bit off lately. Sanders as well looked good. Dolan did some good things. He is still young and is learning the rigours of AFL footy.

Good to get the win, we should have expected to get it, and we did.

Nothing about the game really helps build our understanding of where we are at, which is a little frustrating. In recent seasons that was a real feature of the experience as a fan, until parts of last year and definitely this year, we have been learning about this group and what they stand for etc. So whilst the overall trend has been OK, the fortnight of back to back Thursday games has just felt like an echo of those frustrating seasons.

That aside, Darcy back a big plus, he’s really going to be worth the effort of showing up on nights like these. Impactful player.

Naughty deserves some credit, he has been slowly turning the form slump around. The fight never dropped from him, and with a bit of support and a terrible opponent I think he really has set himself for an upward swing here.

Dolan almost announced himself, he’s going to nail those chances soon and hit the scoreboard in a meaningful way.

JOD and Lobb, an unlikely pair. Effective stuff. Quite brilliant from Lobb tonight really.

Hated the experience In the ground. Was flat as a tack with the turn out, Saints are awful. A shame that we’ll be dragged in the media with them. In our defence, it’s the second Thursday in a row, coming off a loss and if you drove in from the West last week, you know that getting out of the Docklands and home was a nightmare, bumper to bumper every which way. I sat in the car in the garage and briefly considered not going, which is very rare.

Yeah it was easy getting out of the Marvel carpark tonight. No issues there.

Thursday night isn't an ideal time slot for a lot people with Friday being a workday and for people who live in the outer suburbs or country who have kids and school the next day.

The Saints were terrible, but he was on Wilkie who is excellent. I thought Naughton battled well, got to good spots, was scrapping for ground balls like he does at his best. I think he carried a lot of mental weight with Darcy out - it was all off his shoulders tonight.

Yeah even our crowd of 35k against the Hoks was down, it's obviously more about TV. What do you reckon 10k there at 3quarter time?
