Bankers & Anchors: Rnd 14, 2025 vs St Kilda

This is the Round 14, 2025 edition of the weekly Bankers and Anchors thread. Once tonight's game against St. Kilda has concluded post your nominations for:

The Bankers = 3 guys/aspects of the game that we banked on to do the right thing during the game
The Anchors = 3 guys/aspects of the game that weighed us down by their errors or poor play

Please limit it to no more than three of each player or aspect of the game, but feel free to make honourable/dishonourable mentions. As usual try to make it constructive criticism.

Try and restrict it to individual players rather than aspects of the overall match - I will allow more freedom now as the thread seems to be going down more of the aspects of the game path so you can have 3 for each made up of aspects of the game and individual player.

    Bankers:

Darcy - obviously. It just doesn't seem likely that he will have 4 possession games with no influence. He draws the footy, stays involved, plays smart. What a presence.
Richards - such a bankable player. Aside from his run, elusiveness and creativity - he just doesn't have bad games.
Williams - I feel very comfortable when the ball flies in his direction. Great composure all season, just quietly getting it done wherever he's asked to play.

    Anchors:

Ross the boss - I actually don't mind him overall. But 'hate-subbing' a forward pocket when they'd had barely any supply while he's got players like Zac Jones, Brad Hill and Hunter Clark taking a pay cheque for doing nothing in the midfield and defence.

Really struggling for other anchors specific to this game.

      1. McNeil's snap for goal, a real beauty.
      2. Darcy's influence on the game
      3. West's tenacity - yes sometimes selfish, but his determination and guts is just what we need.

      Anchors

      1. Saints supporters for not showing up. Before the game they had beaten Dees, and a win would propel them just outside the 8, so why not support them.
      2. Faux tough guy Jones hit on JOD behind play - fined

Just on that, I talked to a Saints mate and he thought there might have only been about 5K of Doggies supporters there.
Yes he acknowledged it was a very poor by the Saints supporters but he might have a point with our attendance as well.
A favorite son in Jack Sinclair's 200th game and as a club they should be disappointed more Saints fans didn't come out.

They had 13K at the Suns game. And is a 7500 person upgrade on that.
