Lets hear about the 3 new thing learned from our game against the Richmond
3 Things Learned - Round 15 vs Richmond, 2025

1. What Vandermeer brings to the team is shrouded in mystery.
2. Naughton is not firing at FF, start him on a wing ?
3. Coffield did ok, 10 marksComment

1. Coffield has a chance at making it. I had written him off, but that was a ln encouraging performance. His intercept game was strong, he was good in the contest and he used the ball OK. It's only Richmond and one game but he (and we) should be pleased with that.
2. It might be Treloar's last year. He just hasn't looked himself for some time now. I think as long as he's willing he'll get another year but it's been a tough year for him.
3. There's still a few spots up for grabs. Players like JJ, Arty and Garcia should be thinking they are every chance to play games late in the season and potentially finals. I think we're a more dynamic side with all 3 over Bramble, Harmes and Dolan/Hynes. The latter two I like but probably aren't ready for the big games yet.W00F!👍 1Comment

1. Sam Darcy is already being umpired differently to the rest of the AFL world - Balta at times just grabbed him in a bear hug to stop him leading for the ball, and the umpire just ignored it.
2. Coffield was an improvement on Cleary
3. From around the grounds, if you choose to wear blue & gold, expect to play like West Coast - the Suns collapse continues.Footscray member since 1980.Comment

1. We're building now a solid group of depth across all lines. Love that Buku obviously is growing in confidence, to be able to come in, off the bench, cold, and impact straight away. Similarly, Dolan and Hynes are not being gifted minutes, they're earning them and they also have players vying for their spots. McNeil delivered tonight too and is doing it more often. VDM is making a case that he's maybe no longer deserving of being in the conversation at all, as he is moving towards that mid tier know what you will get consistency each week kind of guy. - I totally get what he brings to the team, it's maybe just less visible than his mistakes. Same as Bramble.
2. Lobb has taught me to be more mature with how I perceive or make personal judgments on players that in reality I have no personal insight into. Based on his GWS years and in particular the one where Tom Boyd was being called out by Jon Patton during the prelim I judged Lobb to be a flog. I struggled when we brought him in, but the reality is, he seems like a nice bloke, he certainly represents himself well, and since he's gone down back especially, he's become such a reliable and strong competitor. Today especially I loved the way he personally challenged Tom Lynch for his heavy contest on English. He's completely won me over, and it's reminded me once more, to be careful how I speak about, and even perceive these guys; their people, and I'm making judgments from a TV screen based on their abilities with an oval ball???
3. The other thing I learned or at least was reminded of today is some of our fans in my opinion have unreasonable expectations. And that 's okay. It's your expectations..I don't care, other than man it must make it very hard to enjoy a game of football. With both team and individual performance expectations set so high, most weeks, and years must be absolute nightmares for you to endure. Hardcore.👍 4🥰 3Comment

We’ve seen the last of Liam J, Taylor D, JJ and Trelore after this year. The transition to JOD, and Coffield, and Jacques coming on is impressive
Darcy is simply unbelievable and is not even at 50 games.
I think we play better with Buku in the side. He does a lot of the leading and blocking work that opens up spaceBB.
Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.Comment

1. Not sold on Coffield…yet…he looks slow.
2. Naughton is a shadow of himself. Red flag with the long deal we signed him too.
3. Treloar is cooked. Can’t afford to carry him anymore this year.
4. percentage means nothing if you don’t win enough games to make finals. Let’s see Whst we’ve got.I will never see #16 the same!!Comment

1. How good is it to have a gut busting winger. Davidson’s work rate and running ability is awesome. What a pick up!
2. How we structure up as we go deeper into the season will be interesting. Darcy is rucking more than I expected. Will that continue or will he stay at home more?
3. I really need to enjoy these games more, rather than get frustrated at anything less than perfection. One day, when Bont is a memory and Darcy is no longer a dominant force, I’ll be dreaming of beating teams by 12 goals while in second gear. Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.👍 2Comment

1. Bont ball handling and kicking were on a different plane today..No other player came near him.
2 Freijah has a seldom seen trick - the Don't Argue" followed a nano second later by a pin point outside of the right foot pass. You don't see that often
3. Davidson is seriously quick and elusive. Ed Richards can break a tacklehttp://journals.worldnomads.com/merantau

1. Davidons first half and the last quarter were unbelievably good - what a player for a first year of AFL
2. VDM runs his guts out and makes great position, but team mates ignore him a lot of the time
3. We have won 5 games by more than 70 points - supporters are crazy if they don't believe in this team.FFC: Established 1883

He had one bad moment of indecision deep on the goal line (but didn't have many options anyway), but good disposals and some nice intercepts.
I learned that I am comfortable with Coffield being ahead of Cleary when he is fit.😀 4👍 1Comment

I expected him to look slower, tbh. Would you believe that he had the highest maximum speed of any bulldog today at 32km/hr?

Dolan can play – in a slight sort of way, he reminds me of the very early games I saw an under developed Murphy play.
For the first time I've seen him really play, I thought Hynes could be something special.
Davidson WTF. Was there anyone else playing on the other wing,? If so, I am buggered if I know. Terrific game by him.The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.Comment
