Its a 50/50 game and we just don't win many like this, a win would be huge.
Are Sydney good now?

I don’t expect Amarty to kick 0.6 this week. If Neale can kick 5 on (JOD/Lobb) then this guy could kick 5 as well. Papley a game under his belt is also a concern as we normally struggle to hold the oppositions small fwd. they will flood our fwd line not allowing Darcy and Naughton to jump. This is where they will hold advantage on that small ground.
I expected to beat Rich.
don’t expect to beat Syd up there.I will never see #16 the same!!Comment

If we played them 3 weeks ago it was an easy win. They have a forward line now and Mills and Goulden to distribute the footy to them. Not sure I can trust the dogs against a good team. This years ladder position is not a reflection on how good Sydney is when they at their best. If it was in Melbourne I would be more confident.👍 1Comment

I see beating this Swans team as a bigger challenge than us beating Freo at Marvel or maybe even the Crows at home too. Swans haven't had anywhere near this strong of a side all year, and add Mills in his current form to their side last year and it might be a different story for them. Huge challenge especially when you're against a team fighting for their life, a win this week just as good as anyComment

I'm keeping cool. We played Sydney in Round 20 last year and defeated them 12.15 (87) to 7.6 (48). I was at the game and it's not an overstatement to say that we smashed them. The strength of their team on the day? Well...
Cunningham McCartin Blakey
Florent Melican Lloyd
Roberts Chad Warner Jordan
Gulden Logan McDonald Corey Warner
Wicks Amarty Hayward
Grundy Heeney Taylor Adams
I/C Campbell Mills Fox McLean
With the exception of Papley, that looks pretty close to the team they put on the field last Saturday. I think we should be OK.

Definitely a danger game. Generally struggle at the SCG - last year being an exception. If we want to see ourselves as contenders then it is a must win. Need to really win the clearances to stand a chance.
Hopefully we create enough room in our forward line for Darcy to dominate. They don’t exactly have tall defensive unit thus we should be able to expose this by sitting the ball nice and high in our delivery into the forward line. Could also be an opportunity for Naughton to kick a few as they deal with Darce.Comment

Sometimes the 2nd week back after a long injury layoff is often more difficult that the first up run. That would be more for Papley than Gulden, who is a freak running machine. Cunningham back from injury also helps them in D50 with the damaging smaller forwards (West won't have an easy time this week).
Having a look at their team on paper, it's pretty good if you can afford to leave Ollie Florent out - they don't have many holes at the moment.
It will be a strong challenge for us, and we need to be totally dialled in and 'on' to overcome them.
Can't see anyone stopping Darcy and it will get to him a lot.But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.👍 1Comment

Naughton to kick 3. McCartin is ok but they've been gluing together a defence with whatever second defender seems to win a coin toss that week.
And we need to go hard tag on Blakey. Love watching him play but he gives them a tall chop out, run from the backline and delivery by foot. Triple threat player when he's on.Western Bulldogs: 2016 PremiersComment
