I do agree with GVGjr that pricing is keeping people away. Cats Sedat park is down on crowds and many are blaming the inflated pricing.
Agree. Pricing is a factor but everything has increased in price. AFL Football compared to other events (e.g. family tickets to Coldplay or Mother/Daughter tickets to Taylor Swift) is still so cheap, albeit it does add up for a family if you are going every week.

My family are all Reserved Seat members and also AFL Members. So the annual cost is not cheap, but the discretionary week in, week out cost above the annual memberships is not crazy unless we travel interstate!!!!

41,198 in the house today. Massive crowd for us.

It was the second largest crowd we have had at Docklands against an interstate team. Only the Firday night win over Sydney in Round #2 when we unveiled our Premiership flag in 2017 was larger. 42,834 in the house that day.

The next biggest crowd against an interstate team was Sydney in 2019 and it was only 32,203.

So if you say the Premiership unfurling is a special event. Today we had almost 10,000 more people than the record against an interstate team. Huge crowd.

Also, a massive question mark over the Ballarat strategy when you can pull 40K+ against the Crows.

I was stunned by the crowd. Great turnout, first home day game outside of Ballarat wasn't it? More please - was my daughter's third game and she's really enjoying it.

Would have been interesting to see the crowd if the game was Saturday night instead. I couldn't make it due to work commitments, and I know many others that would have gone if not for local football commitments. Could have pushed 50,000 depending on Medallion Club members. A lot of Adelaide fans made their way to Melbourne thanks to it being school holidays too.

We definitely lose a lot of crowd numbers playing at Ballarat (particularly while under construction) but we also get stiffed playing in smaller venues every year, like Darwin, Canberra, etc so our average goes way down. I think our home games at Marvel tend to be quite well attended, although our away games in Melbourne have been an issue that I don’t really understand, other than maybe Thursdays are just too hard to get too for some of our fans?

I likely wouldn’t have been there if it was a night game. 1:20 meant I could take my 2 kids and dad. There were other factors that increased the crowd, it’s an inter league weekend for most footy leagues and the school holidays, but (and I get that you and others work) it’s so much easier to navigate than night games for families.

Traditional time slot at an advantageous slot in the calendar amd we get a terrific crowd.

                  How about that.

The Adelaide supporters are certainly prepared to travel and no wonder given how well they're playing.
At times they were quite loud.

As SonofScray pointed out a good time slot and two in form teams really helped pack out the stadium.
Thursday night games just don't appeal to our supporter base

Agree with those points. Also, that it is the middle of the school holidays in Adelaide I'm sure also helps encourage more people to travel.

Even with those factors. +41K in the middle of July against an interstate team is an incredible crowd.
