Joel Freijah could very well be the best player from his Draft

We can win games without our best midfielders firing.

I thought the AFL were supposed to test the quality of the grounds. That was borderline dangerous

Mantis isn't the SCG curse he thought he was

      1. Sando and Freijah turned the game for us (with a cameo from the Bont!)
      2. Geee I hope Tim was hurt because he can't be beaten like that again
      3. Astronaught needed that one, huge game and one of the best players on the ground

        1. Bramble that was a stellar performance you shut up a lot of critics tonight now maintain the rage.

2 Our second string stars are now standing up when our bona fide stars are tagged out / down on form. Freijah and Sanders were fantastic and Naughts still has bull in a paddock vibes.

        3. A bigger win than just the 4 points. Thats a scalp and now sets us up for a top 4 finish. Its all in our court now.
But then again, I'm an Internet poster and Bevo is a premiership coach so draw your own conclusions.

          1. The condition of the SCG surface was a disgrace and dangerous for all players.
          2. Marcus Bontempelli is up with EJ as the greatest bulldog of all time.
          3. Rory Lobb can play and fight. VDM can fight but can't play.

            1. Freijah is born for big games and big moments. That goal v Collingwood, tonight ... This kid is rolled gold.

            2. Sanders' composure is so underrated in big games and moments. So many players were losing their minds and making poor decisions, he kept finding space and buying time. Impressive.

            3. Still need to tinker. The back half leaks and doesn't intercept. Is Jones the answer? Buss? Down the other end, McNeil has to go. It's done. Garcia has to play.

Bramble is a lot better player when he takes the game on. Runs in straight lines and doesnt think too much.

our backline is still a worry.

if sanders uses that natural instinct to run and carry the ball more, he will make it.
I will never see #16 the same!!

                1. Tag Dale and Bramble is free to play and play he did.

                2. This is a gutsy team and when the going gets tough, they stand up.

                3. VDM, Freijah have a bit of mongrel in them and Lobb fighting was great to watch

                  1. We’ve got quite a few players who have zero depth in their kicking, I was hopping coffeild was a solution, but jeez his kicking is heart attack material. (JJ and Doc are cooked, so no easy fix)

                  2. Astronaut does astronaut things, he’s so awesomely different to any other player we have and with Darcy in the team let the man do what he does. Tonight was a reminder of why he’s awesome

                  3. with so many players down, tagged, sat on, beaten up to win like that showed our bottom 6 players have it.

                  and bonus;
                  4) Aaron Francis; lolz just lolz

I thought we were coached very well tonight. Previously we would have got rolled over once Henny caught fire.

Timmy was Lucky not be received out. To many times he just let Grundy roam free and he was used in transition

great season changing win. We were tough and against a very good in form side on their home deck. Well done guys awesome win
                    BB.

Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.

                      1. Bramble is worth persisting with - his run off half back was crucial.

                      2. The possession game is nice when pressure is low, BUT in a high pressure game / final kick long out of the backline to a contest to clear the dander zone rather than dinky 15m kicks across goal that invite turnovers. JOD and Coffield were guilty last night, but many others have done it at times during the season too.

                      3. Sydney are back - beware all those who face them for the rest of the season. We usually smash lower sides but the Swans we right up for the fight.

                        1. Freijah and Hynes are silky smooth, so physically and mentally balanced, Bont's grace, awesome ,Sanders not far behind

                        2. We are tough to beat and defend our jumper, some tough bastards.
                        3. The journey should be epic.

1 - Cracking, game of footy. Just finished pound4pound ratings, since when does this team win, when you have below-average performance from Ed, Bont, Libba, and nothing special from Lobb and Mennedy?

2 - Our 19-year-olds can play. Sanders, please back yourself and kick more. He is an elite kicker of the footy

3 - D6/7 and F7, are still a weakness. Need to find more from those roles before a final.

I like Hynes, but he has so much scope for improvement vs most first-year players these days.
His offseason should be a little different from most.
Yes, he needs to build his AFL tank, obvious.
He needs an off-season of footwork, dancing and flexibility. He is incredibly tight through his hips and has concrete in his shoes, a powerful young fella, but only when he is set for it.
He is a bit like an old-school kid, drafted out of the country Vs what you see from Metro draftees, out of a private school program and Coats talent pathways these days. Similarities with Harley Reid are obvious in terms of scope for improvement.
