Our overall turnover game from Wheelo ratings is going well. 4th best in 2025.
Points scored from the defensive half 5th best and Points scored from the forward half the best.

Our transition game is in good order as well.

    The issue is the defence:
    Defensive 1v1 contests ranked 13th
% of 1v1 contest lost ranked 18th (last) - no suprises we seem really bad at this aspect
    Total tackles: ranked 16th
Tackles inside forward 50 quite good 3rd best

It's wildly inconsistent, but we do have a turnover game at times - the Sydney game was basically won by us on turnover because Grundy and the Swans midfield smashed us at clearance and stoppage that night. We have a pretty decent turnover game against the bottom 10, but that probably highlights our issues against the contenders.

We certainly didn't have a turnover game of note at all prior to last year. Small steps I suppose. Be nice if we could develop a consistent one against all opposition so that we can score some easier goals for a change.

I wasn't confident till I saw the list this evening. We're in with a shot. I saw an interview with one of the lads who said Bevo told them they were soft after the game. So I expect they'll be fanging to reverse that.
            I think it'll be a cracker of a match.
I'm also glad that I'm very busy tomorrow and won't have time to be overly anxious.

I think we will play with a lot of heart and with a lot of pressure and the team will clearly have corrected what went wrong last week... but it just won't quite be enough in an away game against the reigning premiers.

One of the greatest games i went to was the Semi at the Gabba when Baz had ice in his veins, geez it's nice knocking off those f'head supporters, i do like Jones in to help out JOD and Lobb, interested to see which one is let loose to play a more intercept role (probably Lobb), although Lobb might have better reach to spoil the long arms of Hipwood, reckon JOD will take Morris, i just have a feeling about this one and hopefully the rain holds off (it only rained a bit this morning), i'll say Dogs by 11.

Must say it's actually nice to be able to goto a Dogs game up here, we haven't had too many of late, and can't remember the last time we played the Suns at Carrara, maybe it was Jamarra's 2nd game when he kicked 3?

                      Who's tipping against us?
There is no shame in it so let's see how as many WOOFers are viewing our chances?

I never tip against us, but I am not approaching this with a great deal of confidence.

To me last week was our worst result of the year even though Hawthorn was a poorer performance.

For the Hawthorn game we just didn't turn up to play but against Adelaide our shortcomings in defence were clear and consistent with issues that continue and have done so over a number of years.

I want to see us clog their space not ours.

I want to see us be hard to score against.

I want Darcy and Naughton able to lead up into space.

I still believe we can win the whole thing but our system needs to be significantly better.

Looks like most of the showers are done- will be a few sprinkles around. Regardless, are we now going in too tall?
