3 Things Learned - Round 19, 2025 vs Brisbane

1. I asked before the game why did McNeil get a game. 3 Disposals against Sydney, followed by unused sub v Nth, then dropped for Adelaide game and comes in and then 7 handballs, 3 tackles against Brisbane. He should not play for a few weeks until he finds form in the VFL - MC this is unforgivable.

2. Our senior players are carrying us whilst the bottom 5 had 26 disposals compared to Brisbanes 40 which includes a ruckman (Fort), Hipwood , Lohman and Cameron who had 3 goals as well.

3. We are not too far off top 4 with the top 3 beating us by less than 2 goals each. Flattering, maybe but that is what has happened.

1. The clubs culture must be in a great spot. It's no accident that we've hung in games against better opposition all season.
2. Cleary is the most improved for me this season. He has probably moved past Coffield on the pecking order. I hope that he still has more improvement in him.
3. Westy aside, the output from the small forwards has dropped off a cliff compared to the first half of the season.
