The Moment: Rnd 20, 2025 vs Essendon

The moment; the best, most courageous, or consequential moment that caught your eye in tonight's Round 20 clash against Essendon.
Was it the moment that told you 'we've got this' or 'we lost this one right here'? Or was it the moment that you went 'wow....that is crazy courage'

Was it a collection of moments or perhaps one you felt had greater significance outside of the actual game's result?.. Or maybe it was a downright gobshite game, with little to crow about...but you know, you're still down to get your post count up

Waiting on a train at Yarraville station for 30 odd minutes then deciding to try to get a taxi for 30 odd minutes then walking to Footscray to catch a bus and waiting for 30 odd minutes finally arriving at start of second quarter and we were up 30 odd points!

Yeah and when he lobbed the second a minute later, it looked plausible we were going to give them a spanking as the night wore on and their inexperience really got exposed. Although I'm not sure lack of experience counts for the trash tackling attempts of McGrath at times.

I was going to say first bounce, but.........if there was a moment it's our 4th goal of the match score by Ed Richards. Passage of play goes somting like Bont scores a goa. Ball goes back to the middle and Ed Richards wins the ball in the centre and pumps it long to a pack of players including Dacy and Naughts. The ball spills free from the pack and is gathered by Ed Richards, who ducks and weaves and put's a dinky kick out in front of Naught in the pocket. The ball drops short but is gathered by Naughton who flips a hand pass to Ed Richards, who runs in a scores the goal. That just about sums it up!

That was a pure gold bit of play by Richards,.

However, I think the moment for this game was probably when they released the fixture giving us two servings of Essington

Essendon's profile not much different to ours, but I guess if you break down under 50 to under 25 there will be a big difference

              Total Players By Games
              Essendon Games Western Bulldogs
              10 Less than 50 9
              3 50 to 99 4
              5 100 to 149 2
              2 150 to 200 5
              3 200 or more 3

They just don't have decent players

They could have had Josh Dunkley in 2020 trade period but they won that trade period so that could draft Nik Cox and Archie Perkins.

The Dodo was extinct a long time ago but Essington still used it to pick their players

Imagine where we might have been if we had have been open to trading Dunkley to multiple parties.......like an incredibly astute and moderately good looking poster around here said we should have done!
                      TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.
