I don't believe you can build a whole team around just one player. Premierships are won by TEAM efforts, not by one outstanding champion. Yes he is a good player and showing amazing potential, but he also needs support around him.

No way you give up three first rounders for any player.
I agree with you BAD. Whilst a very good player, Bont, Richards, Darcy would all be infront of him.

I honestly don’t think anyone would be worth that coin in this current era. Maybe 5years down the track I it would or could cause a huge list imbalance. You need depth and role players not just honest triers

championship are won with Champion teams to individual brilliance, 2016 is the perfect example of this.
    BB.

Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.

I have been wondering though about all the tales of trades and riches for this very obviously talented player...and wondering when exactly in the history of the game has a player of his size/attributes been the main plank of a premiership side?

Most players have historical doppelgängers...I'm not actually sure who Nasiah 'plays like'. I mean, he's a bit like Michael Long with a bit more skill over his head? He reminds me quite a bit of a player I watched growing up (Willie Roe)...I mean, I think he's probably better than both of those players but those guys at their most effective were the cream on a well formed cake and not really what you would build a team around.

Then again I suppose, what players DO you build a team around? Good players I spose...and he is one of those. But 3x first round draft picks??? Wow - that's a LOT to think about.
      Winmar comes to mind also.

Yeah - he was in the same teams as Willie Roe (and Basil Campbell, and Stephen Michael, and Maurice Rioli, and Benny Vigona - and I'm probably missing a few).

When people talk about the declining numbers of First Nations athletes in the AFL, they really have no conception of just how high the numbers were in the WAFL back in the late 70's and 80's...
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

I'd love to have Nas at the Doggies and I'd be prepared to pay up for that privilege.
There is a limit though in terms of picks and finances
We should throw our hat into the ring even if it's just to gauge the market but I have some doubts we are an attractive destination for him.
It seems like the Saints are going to have to dig in to retain him.
