The Moment: Rnd 23, 2025 vs Melbourne

The moment; the best, most courageous, or consequential moment that caught your eye in today's Round 22 clash against Melbourne.
Was it the moment that told you 'we've got this' or 'we lost this one right here'? Or was it the moment that you went 'wow....that is crazy courage'

Was it a collection of moments or perhaps one you felt had greater significance outside of the actual game's result?.. Or maybe it was a downright gobshite game, with little to crow about...but you know, you're still down to get your post count up

Has to be Darcy’s mark in dying minutes. Although Naughton mark not paid was a moment that was gut wrenching!!

Wests man of steel nerves to kick that difficult goal in Q4 was also bloody amazing, and Ed’s goal on run, and Cleary’s goal from nowhere. Bont taking charge….So many big moments in Q4.

Tim English missing the soda of a set shot in the third. Melbourne from the kick out waltz the ball from the back half and kick a goal. Huge in the context of the game, from there their tails were up.

          West's goal. Cold as ice.

Perhaps 2/3rds of the way through the last quarter, there's an absolute monster of a centre square contest. At one point Melbourne look like they'll run the ball into their F50, only 3 points down.
Somehow Baker just wills his way through the bodies and gets a tiny tap on the ball to our advantage. We get the clearance and eventually kick a goal from that passage.

It was a such a tiny, hard fought moment from Baker but it changed the game.

Yep. I saw that. I think Baker is gonna be in my votes although I might watch replay first. His gutsy efforts across whole game I’m sure will be played to team during the week. If he keeps this up he’ll be a crowd favourite very soon.

For me. Yes Naughtons (not paid) mark, English’s miss and Darcy Marks were clearly moments.

but for mine it was Garcia paddling the ball to the boundary line, ducking a tackle and handball forward to which we goal. Amazing and from a player that’s playing for his spot, not do try to do to much but sis more than expected well done mate huge moment.
                  BB.

Looking forward - Naughton, Darcy and JUH. It will be the envy of everyone.

The Bevo move to bring Garcia on , he used his freshness to bring the win home .
I said to my mate we need Garcia on and his hardness in the coal face .

West's goal for me. It also proves that while a lot of people believe the first option is normally the best West's decision to go for the Banana goal as a 2nd choice was the right one.

West’s goal was big boy stuff.
Darcy’s mark was big boy stuff.

Baker and Bramble both had absolute gut busting, physical contests at important times and won out.

Pick any of them, but West’s goal for mine was the one to single out.

The Westy banana to put us back in front, incredible skill to execute that from that position, it was a long way out to go the checkside kick.

If we had lost then yeah this was "the moment". For mine it is Darcy's mark with 2 mins to go. It was at that point I knew we were home.
