Glass half full - “Just like Sydney”

While the swans were busy losing 5 in a row (or was it 6) to kick off 2017, Longmire was sprouting off about 7 debutants with an implied “haters gonna hate - but just you wait”. Now it hasn’t exactly turned out the way they wanted (though they somehow still played in finals after that terrible start) and this year has been ‘inconsistent’ for the swans, they do have a lot of (seeming) depth...and if they could only win a home game or 2 would be amongst the premiership favourites.

Maybe that is exactly the blue-print we are following-trying to build a strong base and create a true ‘next man up’ environment where there are 28-30 players on the list who the MC are confident in AND who all have their own track record of success...
What should I tell her? She's going to ask.

Is it what coaches refer to when they talk about players being able to play multiple roles? Have two or three strings to you bow, and be able to fit into the structure as the next soldier in......

We have been big on depth and players playing multiple roles since Beveridge arrived at the club. It can be frustrating watching players seemingly being played out of position, or players who you think shouldn't be in the seniors developing or vice versa, early in the piece as it has been for much of 2017 and 2018.
    TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.
