What is the opinion on Lachie Smith? I believe there were some green shoots in his game last Sunday. He looked competitive and I liked his repeat efforts. Not sure he can compete consistently in the AFL against the big, number one ruckman.

Could he be re-fashioned? Say, into a full back? I suspect he has the basic physical attributes necessary for the role. This pre-season could be a good time to find out.

His last half of the season has really seen him step forward. His ruck work has improved plus he's a bit more consistent with his marking.
The problem with moving him into a KPD role might be his mobility , his vertical leap and if his kicking skills would stand up.
