I know but why would Port wait a year to trade into what brings more compromised Future Draft Picks?
The only reason would be they somehow think they have a chance to keep Butters and hence it is a risk worth taking.
When it comes to a clubs best player like Butters and Merrett there is much more to consider than simply trade value. These decisions are complicated and there is probably no correct answer.
