Notes:
- Freijah to return to the half back with stints in the midfield. Projects as an A+ inside mid in the future but we need some temporary class, dash and precise kicking off half back for 2026

- Backing Jacques (def/wing) and Dolan(fwd) to have huge pre-seasons in their 2nd year. Both give us that youthful exuberance of speed and flair. Also backing Buss to become that intercepting 3rd tall type.

- Liked our setup last year of Lobb to be 2nd ruck and to keep Darcy at full forward as long as possible

- Arty Jones to finally have that breakout, injury free and consistent season (liked his end of season form at VFL and final game vs Freo as sub)

- Needs for 2027 - Butters to replace libba/adsy and a Full back option (e.g. Butts) to take the big boys

Thanks mate, would love to get access to those reports if possible. Pre-season hype is might be the best time of year (before we are eventually let down).

I see Harmes as the high half fwd pinch hit mid type to which I prefer Kennedy and Sanders in that role. Expect to still see him in the fringes and will definitely play games next year as that solid foot soldier.

The training reports are on the rewards board so if you make a contribution to discussions, and you are off to a very good start, you will get that access.

It's good line-up and no room for Harmes, Hynes, Vandermeer, Khamis, Baker, Sellwood or Garcia
Both Davidson and Williams on the bench looks a bit lop sided.

Yeah I can agree with the Williams and Davidson both being on the bench looking like that, maybe it is a Garcia or Harmes for one of them. And with Khamis I think it’s either him or Croft or does he play back and get kept out by one the 3 key backs again? I think Cleary did enough this year to show he’s ahead of a Sellwood at this stage. That’s my lineup for now anyway we’ll see what happens over pre season

Cleary isn’t getting a look in. He had a decent year - a victim of most of us playing Lobb, JOD and Buss because we don’t think we have 2 very effective talls?

Fridge might be our new Bont / Naughton with repeated arguments about where to play him. I’m still team Midfield.

Libba and Treloar are going to be fascinating use cases in how we manage older stars who have 1 Woods and not much else. I still wonder if Treloar to HB could be a thing? I told you I’d die on this hill….

Small defenders generally is still quite limited in a depth chart sense. Could McNeil or VDM be on the move to the other end of the ground?

How do we accelerate Hynes, Dolan, Croft ? A challenge even with an added player.

Buku will be depressed reading it. Not named at all (or very rarely).

All great points and agree with everything.

Dolan is an interesting one. A friend of mine said at this stage he can't see it in Dolan as did Jeemak. He really needs to build his strength as his tackling is very poor and maybe won't come good till the next few years. He flashes in and out of games and does show lots of promise, but he is not in the best 23 yet.
