Re: AFL Game Day Round 16, 2018 - Western Bulldogs V Hawthorn at Etihad Stadium, Docklands
Watched the replay again and it was a true Jekyll and Hyde performance. Not too dissimilar to the Collingwood game perhaps.
I am over getting angry at this point and have pretty much conceded that the injury list is too long, the talent too thin as a consequence, and the maturity relative to most opponents is too low. If we drop 5% in effort and the opposition goes up a notch, we get flogged. If teams match our effort, we get flogged. If they're a bit off and we are on, we are a chance. A slim chance.
It's a real concern that the execution fluctuates in game so heavily. I think that might be to do with fitness and continuity, something that was sky high a few years ago but has been pillaged since 2015.

Carlton were something like 11.0.66 and kicked the 12th straight. Needless to say the ump was sent to the country the following week.
