I definitely never appreciated he was such a tough and courageous player before he joined us.

Exactly the type of back pocket every club wants at least one of.
Have you heard Butters wants to come to the Dogs?

Re: Welcome to the Bulldogs: Taylor Duryea

      Fun fact.

On the Back Chat podcast Taylor Duryea said he was pretty much signed sealed and going to Sydney when he decided to leave hawthorn.

Someone spotted him and Kiener Beatson heading to the Virgin lounge in Sydney airport and it got back to Bevo who rang Taylor.

Duryea said the decision was easy in the end. He knew Bevo really well, similar defensive game plan to what he was use to and his best mate Matt Suckling was at the club.

Interestingly Duryea credits Beveridge for coming up with and implementing Hawks defensive game plan in the three peat era.
More of an In Bruges guy?

I think it’s on record that Bevo implemented the defensive changes at the hawks. During his initial meeting with Clarkson he told him that he thought Hawthorn needed to change the way they defend and Clarkson was sold on that.
