The way the season's shaping so far, it looks like we will make the top 4.

With us challenging Geelong & Hawthorn for 3 of those spots & the likliehood 4 to go to one of Sydney, Adelaide or Collingwood, it will mean in all likliehood that where you finish in the top 3 is somewhat irrelevant.

In past seasons it could be the difference between a home or interstate final. This year it looks likely that we'll play our first final in Melbourne (unless the unthinkable happens & Sydney or Adelaide finish 2nd).

Yeah Melbourne sides will dominate the top 8 and most finals will be played here. Personally I can't see Adelaide maintaining it and think they will come 6th or 7th.

Not sure what Sydney and Collingwood will do for the rest of the year. IMO it is between them 2 for 4th.

Hawks are top because of the softest draw on record. They will fade, and fade badly -- the signs are all there. They have peaked for the year (probably in Round 5), and they will drop. I will not be at all surprised if Collingwood and Sydney both sneak into the top 4 at their expense.

Dogs are a genuine chance to finish top in the home and away and are a monty for the GF at least.

When you say we it should be referring to the dogs.

Well when 10 of 16 are Victorian clubs and none have won a granny for 6 years a few shift in their chairs.

Who said it was an AFL problem? We Vics just thought it was bs that not one of our clubs could make the top 4. Hence the "our sorry state" articles in the Herald Sun.

No one cares about what Victoria thinks just like no one cares about what NSW thinks.

You should surely want us finish top 4, with the rest of the top 7 being non-Vic teams, would you not?

You and all Dogs fans should very carefully care about what NSW and Qld thinks, shouldn't you?

Hypothetically, if the top 4 are all Victorian Clubs and the remainder of the clubs are interstate.
Where will the loser of the first round have to play, home final even though they've lost they're first?

Yes, the losers of 1v4 & 2v3 play the winners of 5v8 & 6v7 with the losers hosting the clashes in the 2nd week of the finals.

No I'd rather the rest of the top 8 being Victorian based sides so that we don't have to play a real away game.
