I will guarantee that Bill Speakman never went near a scale that gave his weight as 62 Kg

Why do you think Nathan Lyon became Garry or Gazza.

Australians are renowned for inventing nicknames but they re-use a lot for no other reason than they can. Weightman is just another example

Leon Cameron got called Baker after Essendon player Leon Baker for some reason. The only reason I can think is that he kicked both feet.

I remember being disappointed that we'd nickname one of our players after a player from another club. Particularly Essendon.

But but but....he didn't lay a tackle! All forwards lay tackles right? That's all they talk about and that's all they focus on...…..surely?

Fact of the matter is he hit the scoreboard and could have been a game high scorer in a debut game. He's no Jason Tutt, sure, but he almost got there.

As an aside, Tutt got 26 touches and kicked four......and didn't get the rising star nomination. What a *!*!*!*!ing disgrace. It's literally the best debut of the modern era.

Paul Williams was the coach the day Tutt debuted and we flogged port adelaide. Paul Williams is our most successful ever coach by win % (2 wins from 3 games) !!!
