Woof Player Awards Rnd 15 - Western Bulldogs vs Melbourne
Re: Woof Player Awards Rnd 15 - Western Bulldogs vs Melbourne
4 - Gilbee/Lake/Hargrave/Morris (Our collective defence was the best thing out there yesterday in the first three quarters. While the centre and forwards weren't really clicking all day these guys repelled ball after ball as Melbourne got up in the clearances)
3 - Harbrow (How Jarrod is not in most people's voting I don't know -- clearly the freshest player out there and willing to do all the one-percenters. Plenty of class as well.)
2 - Boyd (11 hard-ball gets and 33 possies is enough to be BOG most weeks.)
1 - Minnow (best he's looked at FF all year. Took two good grabs and a leading chest mark. Very reliable set-shot)

He's kicked 15.4 from set shots this year
They say Burt Lancaster has one, but I don't believe them.

4. Boyd - only 4 quarter performer
3. Cross - threw his body at it time and again. Disappointed with his lack of confidence going back to kick for goal though.
2. Harbrow - pressure in the forward 50 was first class. Only guy who seemed to be moving in the forward 50
1. Hudson - doesn't get the stats but works his arse off and is crucial in the clearances.
Apologies to Ray but thought his disposal by foot undid a lot of his great running. Another who needs some confidence kicking at goal. Good by hand though.
Surprised by votes for Aker, thought his game today was pretty selfish. Didn't work hard at all defensively.
2. Harbrow

Hear, hear Lantern. If it wasn't for our defense working their butts off we would have been punished because our forwards looked ragged on a number of occasions with their indirect forward movements.
And as for Harbrow, he gets my votes even when he's not playing in the ones.
