Yes I think it’s a coin toss now. Bombers week one wouldn’t that just top it aaaallllllllll off.

On a positive note I thought Bailey Dale was very good again.

This is more than a flat patch. We’ve been uncompetitive for 6 of 7 weeks. Kicking 5 goals against the 15th side isn’t a flat patch. I’ve been dubious about our form for much of the season. I always suspected this underbelly. But never in my worst nightmares did I think it was this bad. There’s no coming back from this.

Will we have a double chance? Thought we could drop to 5th.

There's absolutely nothing to take away from this game. We looked listless, helpless. Didn't see a hard tackle or body spoil all day. It's not so long ago that we were treated like rag dolls in a final against GWS, offering no resistance physically. This game shows we haven't fundamentally changed as a team, we're still prone to rolling over without so much as a whimper. Losing contested possessions against this mob is unacceptable.
The unpaid deliberate, the tackles without the footy, the mark not paid, the non-holding the ball decisions just made an already frustrating day more frustrating.

If this is how the season fritters away then I'm questioning the leadership and cohesion at the club.
          TF is this?.........Obviously you're not a golfer.

Yep. If we lose next week and Brisbane win both and the 6% is worn away. Yep. Elimination Final vs Essendon. And I can’t think about that. It hurts.

Leadership is the right word. I’m not seeing it anywhere.

How can you be uncompetitive for six of seven weeks when you win four times in that period?

If west coast drop out of the 8, we’ll be the worst team heading into the finals on recent form. By a mile. Everyone will position themselves to play us.

We have to lose next week and Brisbane need to win by around 8 goals each week

The ruck Jeemak explain it to me. Banking on a 34 yr old who apparently every Lions fan I spoke to at Ballarat knew was cooked? English is so talented, but a complete liability in the ruck.

We were uninspiring against bottom placed north.
                          Lost to Sydney.
Uninspiring against a horrible Gold Coast.
Did enough to beat a falling Adelaide.
                          Essendon made us look silly
                          Hawthorn embarrassed us.

I don’t just look at wins and losses. I’ve been concerned for a while.

Given they play the Pies and Eagles at the Gabba, that’s a big possibility.
Our 1954 premiership players are our heroes, and it has to be said that Charlie was their hero.

Well if we lose by 60 points I think it would be less right? I’ll do some figures and report back

All I can tell you about the ruck is that Bevo won't play one unless he really likes them. In lieu of that we rely on our midfielders to be accountable to neutralise the football, roll one up and then move the ball forward cleanly.

If our midfielders don't do that we get exposed. If we butcher the footy we get exposed. Today we had both of these issues and paid the price.
